brickbrother Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Hey guys, I'm pretty new around here. Well, to be honest, I've been skulking around this forum for about half a year and decided to finally join. I made this new "Dragon Blade" Ninja line a while ago, and I wanted to see what you thought them... Probably pretty rubbish compared to some of the amazing stuff I've seen on here... but hey. Comments? Quote
Stauder Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Welcome to EB , as Asuka would say, The sneakyer side of the brick It is hard to judge a moc from one picture, but where are those green swords from? Staudie. Quote
Pencoin Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 welcome to Eurobricks nice ninja mocs the box thing is a good idea ( im might steal it) Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Welcome BrickBrother. Interesting creation you have here (the first one). I had not seen the combination of a skull and roof pieces before. It works and makes for a neat jungle temple Ninja hideout. Also interesting is the use of one of the green Rainbow Knight from Knights Kingdom (I forgot who is who). The box art looks good, esp the jungle in the picture. Just as a photo-tip, you might want to take the image at a more level angle rather than looking down on it. It helps when you go to place the image in the background. I like the Samurai cart a lot. I notice the Chinese hat in the back (nice touch). Overall, a great addition to the Ninja collection. And welcome to EB again. Hope to see you posting regularly now that your a member. Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) Welcome to Eurobricks! I will be looking forward to your Dragon Blade. Do share us with more clear precise pictures. It will tell us so much more. I agreed with Brickster, the samurai cart is fitting and the mini-fig is well done. The concept looks pretty interesting. Look forward to your updates. This is a rough Ninja index that I had done. Feel free to browse them. Glad to see another ninja lovers. Edited June 12, 2008 by WhiteFang Quote
Zarkan Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Very nice. I love that you're using some really unique pieces (giant skull, KK helmet), and the color scheme is great. And what's this? Custom torsos? Fake box art? Yes, I like this a LOT! BTW, how about you make a topic introducing yourself in the "Hello, my name is..." forum? It's kinda the custom to do so here. Quote
Shoc Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Welcome, those are very nice creations! By the way, is that katana turqoise?! BTW, how about you make a topic introducing yourself in the "Hello, my name is..." forum? It's kinda the custom to do so here. Whoops... :skull: Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Hello and welcome, I mut say that's a great first post! I like the Samurai cart nice and simple, can I ask where the torso is from as I don’t recognise it (I’m probably just been unobservant here) As for the temple it looks very good, would it be possible for you to post some more images of it, are the tress in the eye sockets or are the behind them I can't tell. Klaus-Dieter Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Hello brickbrother and welcome to EB! Judging from what you can see of one pic the Hidden Skull Temple looks very well designed - only the Knights' Kingdom knight does really not fit. The Samurai Cart looks very nice, too, but perhaps it would have looked more realistic if you would have designed it in that size that there is only one box - now it looks a bit too big. But otherwise these are very fine MOCs, brickbrother! Very well done! Hey guys, I'm pretty new around here. Well, to be honest, I've been skulking around this forum for about half a year and decided to finally join. That was the same with me when I joined EB - I surely surfed around there for at least a half year before registering . Klaus-Dieter Quote
Dovchenko Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Welcome to EB , as Asuka would say, The sneakyer side of the brick It is hard to judge a moc from one picture, but where are those green swords from? Staudie. I'm probably the only person who will give criticism. The cart's great- multiple samurai tools and a nice fig, pretty nice. The temple- well, half of it is a 4+ piece. Sorry, but it just is. I can't rate a 4+ piece with respect. But in this case, it's intigrated very well with the whole jungle theme, a neat roof, great choice of detail (foliage and those fangs on the side) and outstanding figures. Besides, the giant skull may have been the only piece suitable/you had for the job. Very well done, and I hope to see many more of your Dragon Blade MOC's, WITHOUT giant skulls. Quote
JimBee Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 nice! welcome to EB, btw. I really like these! nice boxart, the design is great overall. I like the impulse alot. and, i can answer the question about the teal swords. two came with a really old technic set. there were 6 to 8 of the like i think in 1998, and it was the first form of bionicles. the green one (with the turquiose swords) was my first ever lego set. i still have the two katanas, and right now they are with my Pit minifig, if you browse a little around the Minifig customization forum, youll find it. brickbrother Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 Kudos to JimButcher, who knows where I got the turquoise katanas from. An on technic series called Roboriders. Anyway, thanks for the compliments/critisicm guys! Quote
Shoc Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Kudos to JimButcher, who knows where I got the turquoise katanas from. An on technic series called Roboriders. I had a feeling it might have been Roboriders or soemthing, because I always remember there was a turqouise one and that they had a lot of System pieces in them. :skull: Quote
Wout Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Hello and welcome on Eurobricks. Although your moc has a big <insert that tiresome argument> piece, I still like it very much. @ the person who didn't knew the name of the green KK2 knight: His name is Rascus and his face was also used for some vikings ( version Rasmus ;) )and now for the crownies knight with the big helmet.
