trooperdavinfelth Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Sets seem a bit hit and miss really. Dislike the Clone Wars figures but the sets seem cool. The tank looks good for parts if nothing else (I prefer my custom one :D). I actually like the look of Anakin's ship from the Clone Wars movie, I think i am in the minority Regardless of your opinion on the box with wings Twilight( ) it's great to have you back and crackin'!
Vaders_son Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Once again I really don't understand why a minifig that's worth about 50 cents is the deciding factor of a $30 purchase. Sure, it'd be nice to have a few minifigs, but not $30 nice. I'm getting them regardless of the minifig count- it's the set that's important. Ever checked Bricklink prices for some Star Wars figs? Hmmm - are you new - did it sound like a guess?Preliminary pics, and a picture in a catalogue - well here you are - will that make you a believer? No I'm not new. But I was off the board for some time so I don't know you that good as of yet, no offense intended. And yes, this pic makes me a believer Benny
Oswald the Rabbit Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Aren't Battle Droid Pilots supposed to have a blue torso?
AoNZ Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) Wow Thanks for the pic. I'm not really into droids much but that ship looks good in that pic. I wonder if that pilot fits inside? Also I think others have mentioned it are you able to get pics of the other sets too. Thanks. Can't wait to see more. Yay just got the catalog all these sets look great. Edited June 28, 2008 by AoNZ

Can't wait to see more. Yay just got the catalog all these sets look great. Lucky! Yeah, there's a bar gripped to what looks like a cockpit cover, so...
Algernon Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Might wanna get used to that, people tend to take things rather personally on the internet.
Vaders_son Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I don't appreciate your negative tone Might wanna get used to that, people tend to take things rather personally on the internet. He thinks its all right if he puts a ' ' after it. Com'on guys don't flip There's a lot of joking going on all over EB and nobody means it personal. TDF sure did not intend to offend any of you Benny
Jesper Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I managed to get my hands on another pic - maybe this will answer a question or two:
Shoc Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I'm sure I saw Twilight within the crowds in the shop at Legoland Windsor yesterday... Maybe I was just imagining things! :skull:
AoNZ Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Wow more photos. You guys are sure good at finding them. Cant wait to see more.
commanderbly42 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Many thanks again Jesper! That pic certainly answers some questions on this set's features.
baby Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Gosh another new photos. Nice~ & thanks for sharing the photo with us Is there anymore pictures?
Skipper 24 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) Wow amazing like I said on page 14 (woo I found it first) that cockpit opens exactly where I said on the hinge. EDIT: I was so happy about being right I forgot to write about the pics. On the bomb dropping mechanism there seems to be an elastic bad or are they just 2 blue lines showing some function? I think the wheel bit on the bottom spins round to drop them somehow. Also where that technic cog piece is on the top underneath that there is a gris / mesh piece like on the floor of the RGS. This is my favourite LEGO Clone Wars set still. I can't wait till new pictures show up of the other sets though Edited June 28, 2008 by Skipper 24
darkrebellion Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Thanks for the pic Jesper. This pic of the DGS just make me it more then before. Its for sure one of the best clone wars sets this year.
Lego12 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I am new here! Seems like a fun website! I am crying in happiness because of the new Star Wars Clone Wars sets! Can't wait! ----------------------------
Virar Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 On the bomb dropping mechanism there seems to be an elastic bad or are they just 2 blue lines showing some function? I think the wheel bit on the bottom spins round to drop them somehow. The bombs hang off the technic axle on the outside of the 2x2 plate with holes. Turn the gear on top, the axles move 'inward' and since the bombs can't move, they fall off the end of the axle. Elastic band is no doubt there to stop the wheel turning inadvertently. Well that's my theory anyway.
Trudop561 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Wow I love this pic! We will have a small cockpit and a mechanism to drop missiles! It's cool! It can bombard the clone troops on the ground.
Led ZePPelin Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 The bombs hang off the technic axle on the outside of the 2x2 plate with holes. Turn the gear on top, the axles move 'inward' and since the bombs can't move, they fall off the end of the axle. Elastic band is no doubt there to stop the wheel turning inadvertently. Well that's my theory anyway. That does look correct.
commandosevy Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I might get two of the DGS's now.... and Jesper can you get your hands on a back-of-box pic of the TX-130 saber class tank? also where do the other 2 droids go? like in that picture...
Algernon Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I managed to get my hands on another pic - maybe this will answer a question or two: Me likey.

Mocha Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I like it, but there's no other word for it than stubby. exactly what I thought!
Jesper Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 .... and Jesper can you get your hands on a back-of-box pic of the TX-130 saber class tank? Nope - not yet anyway - remember it's an October-set. I'll post as soon as it's possible. also where do the other 2 droids go? like in that picture... Not sure I understand - please explain.
