Klaus-Dieter Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Hello everybody! This week very early my sixth part of my "Wild West minifig show" arrives: Salesman And Rich People Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Athos Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I don't like the white arm and white hand combination. Same with the black on black. The green suit with white hat doesn't do it for me either. I'd also change the color of the hips, so they don't match the legs (dark grey works well for the black legs and I think black would go good on the green). Beyond that, they look good. Steve Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Neat figs KD. You should have a town full of these folks by now. What I really like and sometheing that I have not tried, is the bottles. This is a great idea for Snake Oil or Wild West Tonic containers. Clever! Quote
Athos Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Not the rich people I see, they're always angry and miserable... Steve Quote
BlueBard Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Nice MFs! I specially like the salesman, looks quite "frenchy"! LOL By the way, if you're interested on custom Mini-Figures you can find some of mine here or here (no WW or Castle, sorry but Pirates ) Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) I don't like the white arm and white hand combination. Same with the black on black. Steve I totally respect you're opinion, Steve. This topic is there to say what's good - but even what's bad . We've got here freedom of opinion on EB - but don't think that I'll write one single positive word to your next creation after what you wrote here! Now earnest: The combination of the white arms with the white hands isn't perfect, I agree. But I wanted to simulate with the white hands that this person wears white gloves (which are a symbol for rich perople in that time, aren't they?). With the other complaints I can't agree because I personally like that style - but ok . Neat figs KD. You should have a town full of these folks by now. What I really like and sometheing that I have not tried, is the bottles. This is a great idea for Snake Oil or Wild West Tonic containers. Clever! To the town full of WW minifigs : I planed to show you some pics of my WW town with all the minifigs I presented and will still present you. But for that you've to wait some time because firstly I want to show you all minifigs first, secondly because I'm yet waiting for the Classic Train I bought at ebay (and which I'll add to my WW town of course) and thirdly because I haven't taken pics of my WW town yet. (I ordered the nice Gold Mine, too, but it is totally full of dust - I hope I'll be aible to get that away with some water and a little brush!) To the bottles: They're not my invention. I "stole" them from Brick Miner who included them in this set. Isn't that a very cool idea?! Nice MFs! I specially like the salesman, looks quite "frenchy"! LOLBy the way, if you're interested on custom Mini-Figures you can find some of mine here or here (no WW or Castle, sorry but Pirates ) Thanks! I used the torso of the Western bandit, gave him an Adventures head and a top hat - and I think he isn't too bad, too. You don't have to be sorry for your designed minifigs being not WW because firstly they look great and secondly you can try to make some Western minifigs, too . JimBee Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 very cool! you know, about a week ago i noticed that the same colored hands on the same colored arms "stick out" but dont nesciceraly make the fig look "bad". Those arms and hands ideas actually inspired me to make a bunch of plain, all one color minifigs. I might post something about them here soon. Quote
Norro Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Not the rich people I see, they're always angry and miserable...Steve Well you are a Lawyer... God Bless, Nathan Quote

We've got here freedom of opinion on EB - but don't think that I'll write one single positive word to your next creation after what you wrote here! I do think they are one of your weakee minifig. But its not like they're a total mess, they are perfectly acceptable, if unremarkable, figures. I think part of their lack of remarkability, is there isn't much difference between these figures and their official counterparts. I am curious to see what you've got planned for set #7. Steve Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 I am curious to see what you've got planned for set #7.Steve Thanks! It'll be some citizens - but this time no really rich people . Klaus-Dieter Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 What about some Mexican banditos?Steve That would be a great idea, Steve! I haven't thought about that yet. The only problem I see are the hats. Which ones should I use? And apart from that: Do you mean that they go with the other Western minifigs ?! By the way: Do you plan to deign some "custom" WW minifigs, too ? Klaus-Dieter Quote
Athos Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I think maybe a fedora might work. A cowboy hat. And maybe a JT hat. Steve Quote
Athos Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Another idea for a figure is a preacher. Maybe you could do him up like Clint Eastwood, in Pale Rider. Steve Quote
