Zarkan Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Thanks, although I think this belongs in the Culture and Multimedia forum. Hm, well Bane and Nightwing are using the official lego figures, but Clayface is all new! Honestly, he looks a bit weird, even for clayface. From what I can gather though, Batgirl will not be playing much of a role in this game, if any at all. That's not right - I want my lego Batgirl and Barbara Gordon figures! Quote
Batbrick Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Thanks for this! So glad Bane is in, as well as Nightwing. Bane's ability's are very cool too: Unaffected by toxic gas and has super strength. Clayface looks a tad strange, but i reckon he'll look better in a different shot, I'm just glad to have him! His abilities sound rather neat too, super strength and agility, as well as able to leap very high. It also means with that configuration we are very likely to ba able to get him in mf form! He seems very based off BTAS too. Batbrick Away! Quote

He seems very based off BTAS too. I do wish Clayface had the ability to form weapons with his hands/arms; nevertheless, I am happy he is in the game. And I agree that he looks strange. If he had been based on Clayface from the more recent 'The Batman' cartoon series, he would look fine as a minifig. But, being based on the look of the BTAS Clayface, he should be the size of the Hagrid minifig or even a little larger. As it is, he looks like a Clayface mini-me. That's not to say I wouldn't want him as a minifig. And if they do make him, I hope that LEGO will make a Clayface version of the new arm piece found in the Agents line and give us a variety of weapons (single mold and brickbuilt), in the same orangey color as Clayface himself, that can fit into said armpiece. The Penguin Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 (edited) Thanks a lot boxcart3! ) I think that it's great thet we'll be having Nightwing with his acrobatic fighting skills and Clayface! ) Yes, I know that he looks a bitstrange, but we we have him, don't we? But everything above stated is nothing compared to The Penguin on the video! )))))) "Take that! And that!" *Smashing cops with the umbtella!* And those nice explosive mechanical penguins? They are awsome! )))) I'm really starting to live the game! )))) Good day, gentlemen! ) P.S. A strange thing came into my head: perhaps green henchmen are Ivy's? ) Edited June 11, 2008 by The Penguin Quote
iamded Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Great find, boxcar3! Hopefully we will be seeing Clayface in future Bat-sets, along with other villains that might feature in this game. Surely we'll get more villains than Harley. ~Peace Quote
Shoc Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Haha Lego Clayface looks hilarious! Hopefully his arms can be used as weapons... :skull: Quote
Dadster Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Awesome!! Thanks for the links! I really can't wait for this game!! First the possibility of Lego Gordon and now Clayface is making an appearance via the game... Excellent *wrings hands together...* Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 People, people, people, are you going insane? This was already posted in the Batman Gameplay topic... Maybe we wouldn't make these mistakes if the Batman Gameplay topic was*cough*pinned*cough*. Quote

Ahh, it appears you are right. But I still don't know why those lazy admins can't pin a simple topic. Nor do I know how I missed this topic out of the 'new posts' category, because I DID see the IGN article in the Batman topic but not here. Now I'm confused. And on my birthday at that... BearHeart Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I hope we see a real clayface figure in a future set! Quote
Adam Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Yes, thanks for the link, but I visit IGN frequently and already know about it. Good work posting it, though. I hope Clayface actually makes an appearance... LOOKS LIKE A GOOD GAME! Quote

IceMan Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I hope this means we will be seeing a LEGO Clayface and Commisioner Gordon pop up in the Batman sets next year. Do you guys think this game will make the LEGO sets more popular? I sure hope it does. I would like to see everyone in the Batverse represented in LEGO form. Hell I would like to see the entire DC Universe represented in LEGO form. Man don't get me started on how mad I was when I found out that the LEGO minifigs and DCU minimates weren't compatible together. Tyler Quote
Brainbox Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Ooh... more characters. It's nice to see Bane is in, especially seeing as how he's such a big part of the Bat-mythos. Nightwing looks good too, but I have to say, I wasn't really expecting Clayface. I like the way he's been done here, and it's be great to see him as an actual fig sometime. Quote

I wasn't expecting to se Clayface either but it's great to have him, really shows that the makers are unafraid of delving into all parts of the mythos. I like the way he is done, I think the angle of the pic makes him look strange, I really hope this means we'll get him and Gordon next year. And yes, fantastic to see Bane. Batbrick Away! Quote
Tacitus Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Given that the LEGO games tend to have a pretty good array of unlockable characters, like in Star Wars, I would expect that we'll be hearing about a lot of other characters in the future. It also occurs to me that in the CGI Batman LEGO set ads for the first line of sets, a few DC heroes made very brief cameos (I've spotted Johnny Thunder, The Ventriloquist, and Hour-man). So, it wouldn't be a stretch to insert them into the game... unless there are obnoxious legal issues. Quote

Brainbox Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Where was Ventriloquist? I never noticed anything He's referring to these, I think. Watch the top three, and you can see Zatara in the museum (running away when the Penguin appears), Johnny Thunder (in the green suit, running towards the camera when Two-Face arrives) and in the Batmobile one, Catwoman can be seen when the Batmobile crashes into the wall, Ventriloquist and Scarface run past Two-Face's truck, and Dr Mid-nite, despite being blind, drives past Two-Face in a car. ???theriddler??? Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) In the batmobile thing, press pause, play, pause, play, and here they are: Jonhy Thuder: Dr midnight: Also seen riddler and scarecrow? And Zatara the Magician and Golden Age Clayface (in name only; I slipped in a movie theatre marquee with Basil Karlo & Julie Madison starring in "Dread Castle;" this is the movie that Karlo starred in as the movie character, "Clayface") Edited June 16, 2008 by ???theriddler???
