In a post government Soalon, entities from all walks of life have found a foothold to some level of power. The formation of the Brotherhood of Soalon makes total sense when viewed in this way. The Brotherhood is a culmination of culture, greed, and national pride coming together with a common enemy.... Invaders.

The religious extremist branch of the Brotherhood is led by a man only known as "The Shaykh". No one knows his true identity and he has only been photographed one time as far as anyone knows. His whereabouts are unknown and he is viewed more as a mythical folklore figure by the public than a physical being. He is responsible for some of the most brutal insurgent attacks in Soalon and is said to have deep ties to other religious networks throughout the world allowing their organization access to vastly unlimited resources. A recent message broadcast over local radio, allegedly from the Shaykh, stated that his fighters "would not rest until Soalon is completely liberated and wiped pure from foreign influence."
