Klaus-Dieter Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hello everybody! I designed another WW LDD MOC: Legoredo Train Station 193 parts 41,40 Euros In Legoredo a new train station was built. You can now buy your tickets and wait until the train will come. Includes engineer, tickets seller and two travelers. Comments are welcome! BTW: My last (but and still very new WW MOC) can be found here. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Asuka Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 A fine and well fitting train station indeed. Maybe a water tower would be a nice little addition, though. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 11, 2008 Author Posted June 11, 2008 Thank you for your nice comment, Asuka! A fine and well fitting train station indeed. Maybe a water tower would be a nice little addition, though. You're right. But I wanted to deign a water tower with a little hut for the train workers and some other train stuff separately. Cardinal Brick Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 A good solid train station and at a better price! Are you being more cost conscious or is it just luck this one came out well priced? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) Thank you for your nice comment, Cardinal Brick! A good solid train station and at a better price! Are you being more cost conscious or is it just luck this one came out well priced? It's just luck. But by the way: I don't think that 41,40 Euros is very cheap for a very small train station with two floors, only few interior and only four minifigs . Ok, I would be very happy if TLG releases something like that - and of course I'd buy it for that price, too . But nevertheless I think that 41,10 Euros isn't very cheap . WesternOutlaw Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Nice KD. My only suggestion to improve on this and some of your other digital designs is to add some design to the flat roofs. For this MOC, I like how you created the small roof section over the 1st floor, but your second floor roof design needs a little "flare". Perhaps you could slant the black roof plate down a bit (like the official lego WW sets), or add some slanted roof pieces - my thoughts to make it look better. Oh, nice cactuses/cacti. I also like the sign. A Legoredo decal would look great on the 1x4 or 1x6 plate. And I agree with Asuka. A water tower would be a nice addition . Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 (edited) Thank you for your nice comment, TheBrickster! Nice KD. For this MOC, I like how you created the small roof section over the 1st floor, but your second floor roof design needs a little "flare". Perhaps you could slant the black roof plate down a bit (like the official lego WW sets), or add some slanted roof pieces - my thoughts to make it look better. I wanted actually to do this . But with LDD you can't design a "slanted" roof - or you have to use the "normal" roof bricks but they surely wouldn't look very well in the combination with WW buildings . And the hinges can regrettbly only be turned in 90 degree (and not 25-45 degree how it would be necessary for these WW buildings). Oh, nice cactuses/cacti. I thought that that would make the set more attractive - and would even be something new (and there are no shrubs available in Lego.Factory ). Klaus-Dieter Edited June 14, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
