Ace Kildare Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Hey, my name's Senan and I'm from Ireland. A big fan of Indianna Jones and member of the NGC (Newbridge Gaming Club). After buying the new DS Indy lego game yesterday I thought this morning, "Why not combine wargaming with lego? It'd be fun, make for hilarious pictures and we can come up with a simple ruleset." So I went online, did a search and found out that this is already huge, part of my searching and random net trawling this morning led me here so I figured I'd join up. Unfortunately I have absolutely no lego to my name at the minute and just looking at prices on the lego website I see it's a lot more expensive than I thought it would be, and a lot of the cooler sets that I see here I can't find on the lego site so I'm at a bit of a loss.... but I'll figure something out.... I hope. Nice to meet you all... Quote
Axle Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Welcome, Ace Kildare! It's nice to have more AFOLs/TFOLs from Ireland here, other then Norro and I (I think). I'm guessing you're from Kildare? Quote

Zarkan Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Welcome to eurobricks! Don't worry about the prices too much- even if you start real small and only get small kits, it's still a great hobby. Especially because these days the vast majority of kits are well designed. Quote
Derek Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Hello, Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here! If you are looking for some sets to start out with and you like Indiana Jones, I would recomend 7624 Jungle Duel or 7620 Motorcycle Chase as they are great sets with great pieces and Minifigure characters to start you off with. It's also nice to see another LIJ fan, I take it your a fan of the movies too? What other themes do you like? On the subject of Lego "wargaming" you might want to check out BrikWars. Also, for buying Lego sets no longer available on S@H you might want to check out BrickLink. Hope I was able to help you in your quest for more knowledge, and subsequently more Lego. -Tarfful Edited June 11, 2008 by Tarfful Quote
