Ok, so I have decided that I am going to make a battalion of troopers. The 501st in fact. I need to know what vehicles and how many troopers I would need to make something fairly nice. Like for example, I have right now in custom color a speeder bike, a scout walker and a miniature look out station. What other vehicles should I incorporate?

??!?!? '

How about just adding all the stuff, You can get?

It's all about how much money You're willing to spend.

1 dollar won't get You far.

Why did You ask this question?

EDIT: I just did a little check on "division". Here in DK a division is made from at least 6000 soldiers plus vehicles.

So maybe that's a start for You. Get 6000+ stormies and then we'll talk about the vehicles needed.

Probably trying to increase post count. And yes, you should get the troopers before getting vehicles. I'm guessing ten to fifteen troopers to look 'good', although, as kimt said, 6000 soldiers make a division.

well I wanted to make like a small squad so I am going with about prob 15 troopers plus a couple commander appo, a lieutenant, sergeant etc. So I guess I will see how many vehicles I will need according to my troop count. What would you guys like to see? like one AT-AT, two AT-STs, two speeder bikes? Um can anyone direct me to a list of clone sets that came out?

So, this is OT, right? :look: Vader's Fist?

You should definately have at least one custom blue TX fighter tank! :oh: You know, like in SW Battlefront II? :sweet: And one or two modded Imperial Landing Crafts (with perhaps some special 501st markings) would be nice too! And lots and lots of speederbikes! :cry_happy: I wouldn't include an AT-AT, though, since the 501st is an eltie team which has to be quick and strong, and the AT-AT is anything but quick! Some AT-STs would make more sense.

:oh3: Holy MegaBlock! $5 - $17 for just the head? You might want to wait for the fleshie, cartoony faces... :sceptic:

If you wish to construct the 501st Legion, I would advise you to do a little research. Wookiepedia I would believe is a good source, seeing how it's maintained by SW-enthusiasts. And look, they just happen to have an article on "Vader's Fist"!

I'm getting the impression that at least the larger vehicles and such were deployed by different legions and squadrons, while enviroment-spesific vehicles were again supplied by different squadrons independent from 501st. So I doubt the 501st had any vehicles at all.

Wow!The 501st is a very nice garrisson!By the way,you are talking about the clone wars one or the vader's fist?(I think its vader's fist as you said At-At)You dont need 6000 troops(That would cost me an arm and leg!)You just need like a 100 troops to show the garrison!Like battlefront 2 :classic: You will defibetly need 2 AT-AT to make your army impressive! You can also modify the new clone wars tank! The one that comes with just 2 plain clones. You can modify those into the imperial look by using grey bricks! :sweet: You can include like 2 speeders, after all you only see them use it for transportation. Not for fighting. You can use the clone battle pack speeder  That will be a good choice.

Right, it is a MOC, so you don't really need that many and BTW a division even has more then 12.000 troops according to NATO standards (on war strenght), 6000 men would be a brigade or also called a semi-division. Maybe in Denmark it is different though, I don't know.

Army units:

squads: smaller units, often lead by a sergeant or a first sergeant

platoon: 20-30 men - (2nd)lieutenant

company: 80-120 men (multiple platoons) - captain/commander/1st lieutenant, according to its status: elite unit? Infantry, cavalry, artillery, airunit,...?)

battalion: 400-1000 men (multiple companies) - mostly a commander or a major, sometimes a lieutenant colonel (elite units or placed there by the Brigadier general)

regiment: 3200-4000 men (multiple battalions + support units) - colonel

brigade: 5000-8000 men (at least 1 regiment +staff + support troops, usualy 2 or even 3) - brigadier general (1 star general)

division: 10000-18000 men (nearly always 2 brigades + staff + support troops) - division general (2 stars)

corps: 20000-60000 men (at least 1 division + staff + support troops and reserves) - general-major (3 stars)

army: undefined (at least 1 corps + staff + support troops and reserves) - general/general-colonel (varies by country) (4 stars)

army group/army section: undefined - marshall or 5 star general

Various sites have Jango faces on. if you have LEGO Star wars you can get the decal in you installation directory where all the skins are stored but it's in flesh if that's a problem. I would suggest getting about 30 Stormies to begin with then you can start adding more and more if you wish.

if you want a 501st then i guess it would be better to get phase II clones. or if you're serious about it you could buy them custom-made with all the decals and paint jobs.

I think he wants them when they all turned in to Stormies like in BFII.

I think you start by making Torrent Company, since that would be relatively cheap. Buy at least one AT-TE so you can get Rex out of the way Paint one of the white Clones with the blue markings of Sergeant Coric. Sell one the other Rex, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rotta for extra cash to buy more and more white Clones. And in January, the BPs come out, so this will make things easier.

Now let's see...

A Stormtrooper BP costs $12, and comes with 3 Stormtroopers, 1 Shadow trooper. I will only count the Stormtroopers, if you get 10 BP's you have 30 Stormtroopers, buying 100 BP's you get 300 Stormtroopers. If you want to make a Division, then 300 Stormies are not enough yet...let's see, 1000 BP's = 3000 Stormtroopers and like KimT said you will need 6000 Stormtroopers. So you'll have to buy 2000 Stormtrooper Battlepacks if you want to make that division. And you will also have loads of Dropships then.. but you should be extremely rich if you want to get that..

20 BP's cost $240, so 2000 BP's cost $24000..

General Magma, I don't think he means this to be quite so literal.:wink: While 6000 troopers would be impressive, I don't think anyone is willing to spend a quarter million dollars just to impress... I think about 20 battle packs is as far as anyone should go... but if you want to buy more, be my guest...

look on ebay for anyone selling stormtroopers or sets with stormtroopers in it.

you'll be able to find cheap battlepacks, a few final duel IIs that contained a stormtrooper and an officer, imperial landing craft has 4 stormies (plus transport).

If you're looking for what the Republic/Imperial army organization was like, check out this thread on it.

It also really depends if you're working on the Imperial 501st Legion or the Republic 501st. The Imperial 501st were all white stormtroopers. You shouldn't need any modding there.

If you're doing the Republic, you need modding on your clone troopers. Check out these designs:

If you're not going to order from FC decals and you want some designs printed for you, drop me a line and I'll work out a deal with you for 501st Stickers to apply to your troops.

Those are some very good decals Clonecommando007!

Too bad I don't collect Lego SW for now, since I am saving my money for the new (Pirate)line.

Thanks for the link BTW.

But on Wookiepedia it says that an enemy can't outrun an AT-AT.
