Outside my house this morning , road planner at work preparing for re-surfacing the road over next 5 days.

The planner has potential for good Lego Technic model, the two sets of catapillar tracks that can turn independantly and planner can steer in any direction including sideways.

Fresh from the set of Alien: Covenant:laugh:

Cool idea! I've been dancing around the idea of a Wirtgen planer or 240i soil stabilizer (with Jeep tyres, of course) but I'm not sure how to make it functionally realistic other than having the milling drum spin. What are you thinking of for your solution?

re Planer:-
The cutter drum is well hidden from sight & discharge conveyor is fully enclosed.
Interesting machine to watch operaterating, needed two men to control it, the whole unit machine can raise & lower on the two track units to set the cutting drum depth.

No idea at the moment busy on another GBC build.

Great...Why open this thread now then, if you have don't even have the intention of building it now? This is a LEGO forum, so I'd like to at least see some brickbuilt progress, if not a finished MOC. Dont just dump an idea in here that you may or may not continue later if you feel like it. Open the thread once you actually have made some progress that is intresting to look at. I dont get it.

There's been a lot of similar threads so it shouldn't be a problem. But I respect your opinion if you don't like these types of threads.

Somebody needs a nice strong coffee...

Nah bud I am just sick of threads that are basically empty. At least put something like "idea" in the title, to make clear there is nothing brickbuilt there.

Don't talk about what you are going to do, show what you have actually done a good while later. Most times these 2 are very different... And seing results is actually intresting.

No, it's just a problem that is getting bigger :damn:

Well, the topic didn't have the [MOC] title so I think it's fine...
