It is not model of something real. Yes, there are something similar, but this is not model os something real.

Some week ago idea came to build something 2wd. Wen't trough lot of ideas with differrent wheels for front driven axle.

Seems, that finally found something satifying, whit which I could continue. Everything else should be easyer (maybe).

Maybe those specific beams are not necessary anymore, but with them it looks soomehow more proportional, also wheel connection is more stable. I used those beams with bigger tyre before, also on this rim, and on even bigger.

Oh, that quite a unique approach, moving all the builky components of the drivetrain away from the wheel! :thumbup::thumbup:

Also a very compact solution, really looking forward to this one!

This is a really smart solution, it looks so obvious and simple, but I bet it cost you quite a headache... I really like how you used two different rotational axis of that u-joint for steering movement and for suspension movement, very elegant and clever. Love it!

I hope indeed the rest will be easier for you now, best of luck!

This is going in a really nice direction. Very logical too, to have the chain routed down the fork. Looks like it's going to be very sturdy and strong too.

Thank You all for kind words!

Yes, as I wrote, to come to this it took at last week. Of course, I was not building all the time, but thinking a lot between different cases.

That looks like the system used on the Rokon 2WD bikes

Could be. Mostly chain this way is used on non suspended forks, as I saw in pictures.

Almost two days was thinking how to fit everything what I want (OK, yesterday I built and modded McLaren senna). But was trying in LDD etc.

This morning started with this (what was ready already on friday)

800x437.jpg

And then I started to build for real, and afeter some hour I had this

800x673.jpg

And now I have all main mechanics ready

800x452.jpg

800x470.jpg

Motorbike now has 2WD, differential between wheels and two speed gearbox (it seems so). Yes, some difflock would be good, but I don't think that there is space for it.

Now I need to make some sections better looking, do some bracing, and finally make it also look better.

I wanted to include something more. For real offroading it would good to have it lockable. On some surfaces it may be good to have it, as if those wheels could be locked together, then real motorcycle could start to shake back and forward.

Did something today

This rear mudguard appeared somewhere last week

Didn't liked it, made new vrsion

Also added seat, second footrests, some lights and also did something in front

Looks good! Love the idea of 2WD, very unusual

I feel like these wheels are too small tho...

I tried different tires. These somehow suited best to build this 2WD motorcle.Generally to create that driven front fork.

Looking really good!  Though like chlego's comment above, would love to see it with a bigger rim and tyre, as i think it would scale really well to the Sian sitting beside it.

[EDIT]

Having said that, i suppose it does scale quite well to it, if it were seen as a Honda style Monkey bike type of thing, if that makes sense. Great stuff.

Almost finished, just can't figure out exhausts, how to end them

To be honest I'd also like to see bigger wheels on this machine. I think at the moment it looks a little like a pocket bike - but a damn cool one , considering all that functionality that is included.

What about 68.8 x 36 ZR on bigger rims, they should have a neraly identical footprint as the ones you use currently but I think the bigger rim will make a visual difference. Or if staying with the same rim size you could try to use 68.8 x 40 Q balloon tyres on older 3 pin hole rims. It would look like the ones on the black truck and be slightly smaller than 80 mm in diameter IIC but also a little thinner (original idea and implementation by @HorcikDesigns):

Yes it is more like that.

Me also. I even started with bigger ones, in fact tried each type of them. With others I can't make so nice front fork, at least using those liftarms, but I really like them. And I like how it looks with these smaller ones.

Cool model!

I would work a bit the saddle area and the rear end of it. Needs some volume there compared to the rest of the built.

Good job!

Already working, but mainly because of those exhausts, so I could fit them somewhere there. That mudguard already shortened, but now will continue only on weekend.
