Roboteer Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 I've used Lego Digital Designer for several years for EV3 and NXT-based robots. When I got the Robot Inventor set (day before Christmas), I downloaded the latest LDD I could find, it was version 4.3.11. It had a copyright date of 2012, not a good sign. Sure enough, not only did it not have the 51515 hub, angular motors, and sensors, it didn't even have the EV3 brick. I tried sorting by boxes, didn't help, couldn't find the 51515 hub etc. Does anyone know if it's possible to use LDD for the Robot Inventor set, with the new hub, motors, sensors etc.? Lego advertising has lots of drawings that seem to be made by LDD (or whatever they call it now). So I know SOMEBODY has it. Where can I find it? Thanx all! Quote
deraven Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Hi Roboteer! LDD was discontinued years ago and is unsupported by Lego, including things like parts updates. I would consider moving to Bricklink's Studio or a LDraw/another L-CAD variant instead. If you're committed to stick with LDD as long as you can, there are plenty of other folks doing the same. You may be able to find some help adding more current parts here: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/177795-key-topic-ldd-new-parts/ Quote
