Lego David Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) Earlier today there was a discussion about the lack of Castle themes on the LEGO World Builder platform, and someone in that thread brought up Guilds of Historica, an already formed Castle world on Eurobricks that could potentially make for a fine pitch for LEGO World Builder. So I was wondering, would it be worth pitching Guilds of Historica to the LEGO World Builder platform? Or not? Edited December 16, 2020 by Lego David Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Hmm. I think we have too much lore and all kinds of miscellaneous uncategorized stuff. It would be a lot of work to bring it together for a cohesive world, and while you were at it, you may find some stuff you'd want to change anyways. I think you could definitely do a world inspired by GoH. Maybe take a look at some of the other Castle RPGs for even more inspiration too. But it would probably be easier to make it a great world--one cohesive story--if you started from scratch. A few nods to GoH would be pretty cool though. There'd also be permissions and things. We've got so much backstory and things like maps, important minifigure characters, and so forth from many different players, several of whom are completely inactive. I wouldn't even know where to begin to try to get the right permission to use the GoH maps for instance. And if you don't use the same map, it's hardly the same world. How is World Builder looking for a castle world though? Does it seem like that's something that could go through? We do have a lot of talented world creators here, obviously, and you might be able to put together a good team! Quote
