As the name suggests, this is a MOC I made of the title character from the video game franchise of the same name: Metal Slug.

A little bit of backstory. The SV-001 (nicknamed Metal Slug) was a revolutionary tank, designed by the Regular Army before being captured by the Rebel Army and used against it's creators. The Regular Army was losing battles left and right until they sent two special agents to either reclaim or destroy the stolen Metal Slugs. Their names were Marco Rossi and Tarma Roving. That's the backstory of the first game.

Here is a picture of the SV-001: image.png.b9a68280372d0b0d21c94fa411ee7c6b.png  As you can see, this is not your normal tank. From it's fat small chubbiness, to the sideways figure-8 style treads to the little headlight on top of the turret, this tank is either adorable or really weird looking, or both!

It is armed with two vulcan cannons on either side of the turret, and also the main turret. In-game, the vulcan cannons had unlimited ammo and were your primary offensive tools, contrasting the main turret which started with 10 rounds but was very powerful.

Being a fan of the Metal Slug games, I figured I should make the SV-001 in Lego form. Here is my interpretation of what it should look like:

I also concocted a small, four man army to go with the Metal Slug.

Enemy Sighted, Sir!

Look no further than old, classic Star Wars torsos for all you army building needs!

Feedback is appreciated! Also, if you want further pictures of the tank or soldiers, let me know!

Don't know Metal slug but the tank looks great. So tiny and so much detail.
It almost looks some kind of cute (because of the size/style)

Thank you. I had some trouble trying to make the tank as close to the original as possible. There's only so much detail I could cram onto it.
