ScT Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 I like the Corvette ZR1 model - and have swapped the original's roof and hood to create a stripe, but that wasn't enough - i wanted to build one in white too... So after gathering the pieces in Bricklink, that's what i did! Original(ish): Colour Swapped: And the stud.io file that i used to recolour, then order parts & build it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17kgtc0MoU9McR8MGgAfzAl5-cfu2WYvT/view?usp=sharing Comments / thoughts? JintaiZ Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 I think the white one looks great. Perhaps blue/azure would work too? Quote
Gray Gear Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) I think an all white version would look best, but this is already way better that the orange. Imo the car is still far from being pretty tho, sorry. Edited December 7, 2020 by Gray Gear Quote

ScT Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Yeah, i think the B&W version is much nicer, and a blue one would look amazing i bet. Currently i don't have much blue/azure stuff though, so that would be a pricey endevaour :) When building the model, about halfway through you add the doors - and they're on a really cool mechanism that makes them lift vertically. Unfortunately, the rear part of the model then attaches to the door mechanism and they no longer move. It's really a shame (Though the real car doesn't have gull-wing or similar doors, so... yeah). JGW3000 Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Looks cool in B/W - but your images are underexposed so hard to see the details in the dark and shadow areas - try rephotographing with longer exposure. Quote
ScT Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Not sure how - i'm just using an IPhone 11. Any tips? Quote
JGW3000 Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Sorry, I don't know iPhone products. Try setting the camera to manual mode and adjust the exposure compensation. Or, use more and brighter lights when taking the images. Quote
Jurss Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I think, key would be - more light. Use built in flash. OK, also not the best thing, but will be better. Quote
ScT Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Thanks, i guess lighting will be key in future :) I shot this at night with just the rooms bulb, which looks okay to the human eye, but yeah... :D Quote
