  1. 1. Does this seem like something I should continue?

As the title says, I am inspired by Tokyo's Disneysea's thrill attraction "Journey to the Center of the Earth" I'd like to make a large, wacked out diorama with strange creatures, glowing crystals and mushrooms, and a vehicle that has the capabilities to travel deep within the Earth...

Here's part of a ride video (not mine, of course  ):

I want your opinon. Should I develop the characters and make a series of MOCs that tell a story? Should I stop at one dio? Let me know what you think, and if you think this has potential.

Here's some stuff I made already:

The Mole (vehicle)

Characters (un-named)

Strange, glowing crystalline substances:

Odd, semi-artistic pic?

Thanks very much for your help! (Because if I continue, I'd want to make it the best I can, and would be investing some money into it [bricklink  ])

That looks very cool! Why make a poll? Go make some mocs for this ride or whatever it is! It Looks really cool. I love that steampunkish car thing, but the characters dont have enough, ummmm, character? Try changing the faces, they remind me too much of Speed Racer.

I love the steampunk-like Mole that you have built already. Looks intricate enough but still durable enough to dig all the way!

I can't really tell which piece you used to make the crystal light up. Which one is it?

This looks really neat! :sweet: Loving that steampunk car thingy! Jule Verne stories always provide good material for great MOCs! And yes, I would very much like you to continue! Thereby, I would prefer vehicles and landsapes over creatures, but if you have a good idea for a monster-moc, don't let me stop ya! Now, if those MOCs would even tell some kind of adventurous story, that would be even cooler! :oh: And the best way to do so is in a comic!

Center of the Earth MOCs ON!

PS: If I may make a suggestion, you might want to consider using glow-in-the-dark pieces for your next chrystal MOC!

This certainly sounds interesting, and like a good idea! I reckon a story line would be best, that way you can have people itching to see what's next!

Of course you should go with this!

I have to say that the characters (minifigs) look a bit too... middle-aged nobility for the adventure. Maybe you should add a few younger people to keep it varied.

I do love steampunk, so I expect to see lots of that during the adventure! ;D

It´s always nice to listen to a good story, especially when the story´s build with LEGO bricks.

And that´s an already very interesting vehicle with a nice crew and some cool background scenery.... :sweet:

Sounds like a great idea to me, especially when your MOCing skills are stunning. The mole is a perfect start and the crystal formations as well. Can't wait to see more of these Moc's in a story line (If you choose to go that way).

Well naturally I'm partial to story telling MOCs (mmm)... so enjoy! In this case I personally would be too coloured by the book, but that's just me...

God Bless,

i think that you should actually try to build a real ride out of it... with tracks and scenery and other flashy stuff. i would be cool to see the mole running on a roller coaster track.
