Well, I'm new here, so I guess I'll introduce myself. I am an avid fan of Lego, especially of what I like to call the 'Golden Age' i.e. the late 70's to early 90's.

I don't have a favorite theme, Classic Castle and Pirates wage war over who gets to hold that title! Don't get me wrong I like the newer themes and licensed stuff Lego puts out nowadays, I just don't think they have the charm of the older System line. Which is funny, considering I'm too young to have experienced the glory of the System line. Oh, well, guess I'm just weird.

Some of my other hobbies include playing classical guitar and cross-stitching.

Welcome to EB, John!  Yes, lots to love in the current Lego lines these days, but the nostalgia and charm the period you're talking about holds a fond place in my heart as well.  Happy building!
