Ev3 Bricks - sourcing for spoilt ones

Hi, I am sourcing for spoilt ev3 bricks which the motherboard is spoilt but the body is still intact. Do you think it is available? Where can i get it? 

Or do you thinking building a 3D Ev3 brick will be easier? I just need to use the brick for assembly. Is there any 3D printed plan which will actually work without all the joins falling apart when connecting them? 

Please advise.
