Paul11283652 Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 With a new X-wing coming I thought it was time to share my mods of 75218. Modifications are: 1. Extend the front of the engines. 2. Lengthen and lower the rear engines. 3. Add new pieces for a sloping front fuselage. 4. Moving the wings closer by 1 plate. 5. Shorten the nose by 1 stud. 6. Different rubber band design at the back of the wings. Also added better landing gear and changed the colours of a few parts around. Feedback welcome. Quote
Daddy_Stardust Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Superb work, what pieces did you use to curve the noise? Quote
Sucram Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Good job, however I suggest adding a couple pieces to the laser cannons to make them look better, try looking up the 9493 set and see what they did there. It will look a lot better i reckon. Quote

Just 2 of 6035405: Brick With Bow 1X10 and some bracket pieces with cheese slopes. I decided to just try them there as I wasn’t satisfied with my previous solution and they looked surprisingly good. A straight slope would be ideal though. 6 hours ago, LEGODrongo01 said: Good job, however I suggest adding a couple pieces to the laser cannons to make them look better, try looking up the 9493 set and see what they did there. mcphatty Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Great mods, your X-Wing’s looking excellent! The engines look much improved and the curved nose is great, I’m gonna have to see how that looks on mine :) Quote
Paul11283652 Posted November 28, 2020 Author Posted November 28, 2020 Updated the nose and cannons. I think I’ve had enough of modding for now. Quote
