goatman461 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 (edited) *Your entry has earned 12 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* Vinsoth had a long history of slavery, starting with the enslavement of the Chev species by Chevin overlords. During the reign of the Empire, slavers strengthened their ties with the criminal underworld, while appeasing half-hearted decrees from the Galactic Senate. After the Battle of Endor, economic pressure from the Confederacy of Free Systems, an amalgamation of free systems banning together to allow for free, open trade and industrial standards, made calls for Chev liberation more popular. Chevin native, Ephant Mon, uses his underworld contacts and increasingly desperate bandits to safely free any force-sensitive slaves found on Vinsoth. Spoiler From the mind of Albert Lee Zilar "the Thumb" left his peaceful life as a monk, because he was unable to accept all the injustice he saw happening all around him. He started out as a vigilante because he thought he could help equalize some of the social imbalances he witnessed and be an agent of karma. After some time, he realized that justice was an arbitrary concept and that he enjoyed dishing out pain on others. Especially if he felt they deserved it. Seeloh "Broken Foot" was a 9th year starship engineering major at [Coruscant's major educational institution], who really had no idea what he wanted to do. His parents finally had enough of Seeloh's shenanigans and cut off his credits, forcing him to drop out. He bounced around, trying to find gigs fixing starships, but he was never ever really cut out for it (which is why he spent nine years studying it to no avail). Eventually, he found a group that needed anyone who had any knowledge on how starships worked.... Jhudor "Doc the Organ" is a physician who had his licensed revoked for performing unnecessary procedures for profit. After that, he served those who needed discretion, in his hidden clinic in the underhive of [insert planet]. His clinic was eventually raided and he had to flee offworld. Now, he travels with [insert gang name] as their primary care giver, lolipops and all. Toboare "the Rose" was once a florist specializing in edible floral arrangements for the rich and wealthy of [insert planet]'s upper crust. One day, he somehow offended his well connected client by accident and lost his business license and was put out of work. After losing his home and his belongings due to debt issues, he struggled on the streets, but ultimately fought his way up the ranks of a local street gang. Unfortunately for him, a rival gang member forced him out and Toboare had to run offworld, where he fell in with [gang name]. Candare "the Good" was once a social worker who helped the less fortunate on [insert planet]. One day, while leaving work, she witnessed a local gang beating a homeless person she had assisted in finding a job. She intervened and beat the gang members and chased them away. A week later, she was confronted by the gang, who, instead of seeking revenge, were so impressed they wanted her to lead them. Shocked, but flattered, she said yes, thinking that she could help rehabilitate them. But little did she realize how she would change when given that sort of power...
