Edmund Babbington Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) Dr. Babbington has leased this vessel at not inconsiderable cost considering his already minimal means... Formerly a personal yacht of a retired commodore, Borzoi still sports a rather patriotic paint job. It is fast and maneuverable although not designed to be armed being a civilian pleasure vessel. Bodi Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 It's a good start with shipbuilding, you got masts and sails, it will sail. Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Nice ship, I like the lateen rig. Quote
Edmund Babbington Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Thank you all. I must admit to being rather intimidated by the sheer quality of the builds here. But you got to start somewhere right? Quote
Fraunces Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Welcome to the high Brick Seas! Keep on upgrading that quality, nobody is perfect when starting! Good job . I am looking forward to the adventures which are waiting for the crew! Quote
Mesabi Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 (edited) Thanks for updating the quality of the photos! It's a good start to a ship, and I look forwards to see you progress with your builds! On 9/21/2020 at 12:11 PM, Edmund Babbington said: Thank you all. I know most of my old builds were quite blocky, have exposed studs, etc, and don't look to great. But once you learn a few techniques, shamelessly copy other builder's inventions, and get a little bit of practice, you can really do some cool things with bricks.
