This electronic meter can reliably measure the length of a Lego beam in a few seconds.

If the touch sensor is released, the brain measure the rotations of the motor and then compute the beam size thanks to the range block.

I use this tool available from Brick Link (bb0342) got mine at Legoland Windsor.
Measures Beams, axle & bricks.

Nice, I have never seen this before but it must be really useful. Much more simpler than my creation. :)

Yes very useful when building GBC nodules.

Just done a search on Bricklink & they Have 5 for sale from GDP 55 to GDP 77a ridiculous prices, think I paid £1.50
