HUWI Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 In my trailer thread i prommised something new and here it is... In germany there's a scripted reality in tv caled "Truckerbabes" and it's sometimes funny, if you stay there while zapping. One Lady is driving for "acargo Hamburg" and the company's style is complete yellow. Evererything is yellow, including the grill, which is otherwise black and what's usually chrome is now black. This lady is driving a Scania but they also have the TGX and that's my absolute favorite truck. I already had the honor of driving it and fell in love. So my decision was easy. The right color concept and the right truck. I only had to design it studless... At first i thought it was impossible, but somehow it worked. The first try, only the left side: Comparison with the Magnum: And now, a few days later: Quote
legotechnicus Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Looking good! 1 question, I noticed you have some black rims. Did you paint those or are they another brand? I’m also building a truck and I need black wheels for that. Thanks! Quote

You can pull it off again from rims, but i don't think off plastic rims with structure. The result is better than the spray on the trailer rims, whithout primer the opacity wasn't so good. Quote
mpj Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I like the Man, but also the Magnum I think it is very well done. Do you have more photos of it? Quote

CrazyGijs Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 The MAN looks very recognizable, good job! Quote
HUWI Posted September 4, 2020 Author Posted September 4, 2020 One week is over, i completed my TGX and digitized it. Today i added the front and side bars with lights. The next days i'll print the stickers and i'll try to build the custom LEDs. Functions: - Ackerman steering - 2 XL for drive ( gear ratio 20:12 with new diff) - steered fifth wheel (3d by efferman) - full suspended - openable doors - openable roof for access to the rechargeable box or Buwizz My yellow version has rare parts, so i decided to rebuild the "Lion PRO Edition" and the way is prepared for an instruction. The slope of the grill and the roof window must be implemented with stickers (maybe electrical tape), the sun visor would be changed too. Quote
HUWI Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Sticker and Lights are completed... Quote
HUWI Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 The yellow one is the PF version and now i build the PU version with the "LION PRO Edition" body. We're working on a instruction for both versions, the body will be the same. The result of the test drive is that the PU isn't powerful like the PF, because the technic hub has a overvoltage protection. It could pull the trailer with 3 containers at the limit, so the safe max weight for the PU truck will be 5.5 kg. It's enough for the shown combinations. Quote
HUWI Posted October 27, 2020 Author Posted October 27, 2020 One month later my TGX fleet has grown a bit... Quote
1gor Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 (edited) Really like this " @efferman" design tow trucks Somehow M.A.N.is more appealing to me than Scania is; perhaps there are more TGSs here than (Scanias) V8s... Edited October 30, 2020 by I_Igor Quote
