I enjoyed it a lot. Admittedly I was a bit put off at some of the events Indy survived and the Mutt becoming Tarzan, but as a whole the movie was enjoyable. Not as good as Raiders or Crusade, but definently third on the list (I didn't mind Doom, but it didn't fit in like the others have for me.

You guys all seem to forget that the film as to advertise to a different audience now, twently years on and cinema has changed.

Fact is everyone expects too highly of these films such as teh star wars films and the simpsons movie to name afew. You all get so caught up in the hype that you thikn its going to be the greatest movie ever. Simple advice just dont get your hopes up and usually you'll like the film more like with me.

Thank you. This was preety much what i was going to say, but you beat me to the punch.

While i can understand being a fan and expecting the movies to perform to a certain degree, movies like the new Indie film are meant to entertain and are not going to win any acadamey awards for there story line. I'll admit it probbly was the weakest of the Indie line, i still enjoyed it. But thats one of the problems that producers have to face when another movie in a triogy that has such a large fan following. Espeacailly doing one 20 years after the last one made. Times change, as do what people expect out of a movie. i don't feel Harrison Ford brought the same level action he did in the first two movies. Its evedent that his age is a factor in this. I even like how they made a referance to that in the movie when he went to swing on his whip to the truck.

"Damm, i thought that was closer!"

I understand that when your a big fan of somthing its hard not to have high expectations. I think this is mainly because many have set in their mind what they want to see in the movie, and when it differs from there vision, it seems like a bit of a let down.

All in all, although i did enjoy the movie as a whole, i kinda felt that the kingdom of the crystal skull wasn't really gonna give the same feel the first 3 movies did. :sceptic:

I think you are being wayyy to harsh with this new film. Really, very much. Very. Even though, you are entitled to your opinion.

I disagree highly. In a critic's terms it betrays every law in the book. ie: Characters must have a point (Mac and Oxley could be removed for more screentime with Marion and nothing changes for the worse), Danger and tension at its greatest in climax (blown to smithereens literally by a ground zero Indy surviving in a fridge that totally removes all suspense from later scenes), the "End of a previous adventure beginning of the others (replaced with a "We are kidnapped and taken to the warehouse where the ark is also" nod that is cool but ultimately makes the ending of Raiders less cool by revealing too much), the threatening badguys (hell even Vogel in Crusade was threatening, Spalko was just good looking in some scenes and the rest were just buffoons), traps (a stair falling and some cogs? Is that it?) and a few more I can't be bothered mentioning. I respect that some like the film, but I find that it is a mess that makes very little sense.

Batbrick Away!
