WhiteHexagon Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Finally the town had to spill over onto a second table... greenville greyville summer park movie making talking to the dead the whole town Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Nice towns you have there. I'm glad I'm not the footballer though.. Quote
Basiliscus Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I like this a lot. The park is my favourite, I think the stone benches are cool. I think you should do something about the crocodile infestation though! Quote
Asuka Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 What a wonderful layout! An impressive and very lively new style city center with some kind of peaceful suburb in a more classic style. Marvelous! Quote
Holodoc Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 What a nice scenery! I like the white houses with the red roofs lining up like in a holiday park. The playground is neat, too. I´ve never seen a hospital to play with (including a helicopter - WOW!). Btw. nice big burger on the table. YumYum ON! Quote
alex54 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I like, too, the difference between Grayville and greenville. It seems that you have bought a lot of wite creator house! I like the way the suburb area looks like, with this same architecture, compared to the downtown, wich looks more riche. I've got a request.... Can you take a closer view on the gray thing which seems to be a big streetclock? It looks interesting in the general viw, but too small to appreciated it well... Thanks! Quote

Thanks, and thanks to everyone else for the positive feedback! As requested the clock tower, really I was just trying to use up some ugly parts. I keep thinking to rip in out and build a proper clock tower. front back Quote
Ralph_S Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I agree with some of the other comments that it's good how you've separated the town centre with the town house and the modular buildings from the more residential area. Let's face it, the white creator house with the red roof is a really nice set, as is the yellow holiday house, but compared to the large and very detailed modular houses with their dark colours and browns they look a bit pedestrian. I've seen quite a few pictures of other people's LEGO towns with Cafe Corner sitting in the middle of them and it often looks really out of place. Not so in your town and that's good. I do have a few suggestions. The hospital does look a bit basic compared to the rest of the town. I know that's a set and it's tucked away in a corner so it's not very visible, but it could do with some improvement/replacement. Perhaps you could build a little statue or a fountain to fill up the area in front of cafe corner -close to where you have the crocodile now Cheers, Ralph Quote
alex54 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Thanks for the pic of your clock WhiteHexagon! Now we can see it properly. Using those Technic parts for the needles is not a bad idea... Quote
