marvelBoy123 Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 All information to the murder on the frozen world will be collected here, including evidence, suspect files, scenes outside the builds and links to the builds themselves. As the builds go on, if you want to have a guess at who the killer is then feel free to PM me your thoughts. I'd love your feedback on the builds and the murder mystery itself as our idea develops. marvelBoy123 Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 I'll add an in-depth suspect list over the next couple of days. Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 (edited) Suspects: The Snogar Chief Adlartok Aggressive under questioning Unable to provide an alibi for the time of the murder - opportunity to carry it out Identified the statue as a symbol of ritualistic sacrifice Did not want to have the holy land mined and had been angry at the victim - clear motive Could have been given or stolen A-280s from the rebels Why would he leave the native statue as a symbol if he would then deny the murder? How could a being so primitive fire such an accurate shot? How did he shoot the victim and place the statue without leaving any footprints? - The blaster wound is consistent with the victim being shot from behind from the right, how come there are not even any footprints in this are? If it is not the chief then who would want to frame him? - why the statue? Edited June 20, 2020 by marvelBoy123 Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Administrator Marcburk (deputy to the victim) Reluctant to answer questions Argued with the victim about mining on the holy land - motive - helping the Snogar? Not promoted on the victim's death Security footage shows he was in his room the entire night - alibi - could he have left another way or tampered with the footage? Could have used conviscated rebel A280s If he was working with the Ota, why would he frame them? Would he really kill a superior officer over the mining operation? How did he carry out the murder without leaving a trace? How could he murder the victim if he was in his room the entire night? Did he know that Coomar would be named as the victim's successor? Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Ambassador Vunell Suspicious - was on Ota before the murder but few seem to know why Not available for questioning Motive? Quote
Darth Bjorn Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Farantos has staged it all as an excuse to clean up among squabbling petty officers on Ota... ? Plausible I’d say... Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Ooh, that is a really cool idea - I could totally see Farantros doing something like that - I doubt that he would have any time for the pathetic officers of Ota. Then again, I wonder if he would just tear the lot of them apart and blame it on the Snogar - I don't know if he would take the time to stage an intricate murder. Quote
Ross Fisher Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Wait, who was it?! Curious minds need to know. My money is still on the Chiss. He looks the type... Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted June 27, 2020 Author Posted June 27, 2020 @Ross Fisher You will have to wait and see, not now most certainly isn't not ever so I will probably at least finish up the story at some point but it might be a while - I need a break from Q10 and after a while, Ota can get a little boring with nothing but snow. n1majneb Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 This is a fun puzzle, now to investigate the clues... Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted July 1, 2020 Author Posted July 1, 2020 You will all have to wait and see, I will come back to Q10 at some point but I'm working on a couple of other things at the moment. Some good ideas though, I still need to add a bit of information - there is one suspect missing from this thread. Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted July 3, 2020 Author Posted July 3, 2020 Sergeant Major Coomar Nervous under questioning `Inherits command from the victim Has a strong alibi - on the other side of the planet Clearly upset by the murder - Lantpenn was like a mentor Seemed to get on well with the victim - no history of disagreements Quote

marvelBoy123 Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 I'm afraid that he is (though I really like the thinking)! Even if he wanted to, he was on Deysum the whole time so he would have had a hard job committing the murder. Quote

Darth Bjorn Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 @marvelBoy123 @Ross Fisher Well of course he has a bullet proof alibi... He's not an amateur... ;) Quote
n1majneb Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 After rereading the earlier posts, i'm leaning towards Coomar now. I think it's going to be someone closer to the troops then high command, and i'm not sure Coomar's as innocent as he looks... Quote
