Pop Up Garden Railway while in Covid19 Lock Down and in sunny weather.
Filmed using camera mounted on a empty Maersk container wagon and pushed by a small 4 wheel shunter loco.

Show off of all that track, thats a lot of track maybe enough to take those r40s out and make some grand curves.

Really nice video.

Took several attempts with many derailments to get it to run OK.

I have more track but only standard Lego R40 curves, I try to ease the curves by using curve - straight - curve - straight. Plus grass growing !!!

It from an now disused layout in my attic built for our grandkids who have now grown up.

Fantastic! I love the section along the edge of the patio, it feels like it's on an embankment or quay wall.

I'd love to do something similar but I have a single circle of track. Maybe a system of lifting up the track behind the train and re-laying it in front, Wallace-&-Gromit style... :laugh:

Now that would have made a great entry for last year's Octrainber! :laugh:

@Doug72 Nice looking layout!

@Doug72 Nice looking layout!

Thanks -
Here's a video of my Maintenance Train on the garden railway.

Lego Loco (7939) with 4 MOC cars. Behind engine - Crane car - Nuclear Flask Wagon - Open spoil wagon - Maintenance crew wagon carrying two bogies to repair shop.

PF control doesn’t like bright sunlight - can be hard to control engine.
This May is the warmest and sunniest on record here in the UK.

I had thoughts of an inverted circle of straight track eased to form a large hoop with rails inside & engine running inside the hoop, but it would be about 2m in diameter, ideal for social distancing !!!

The hoop would then roll along the ground.

That's where my thoughts went too, but then you've just invented an impossible-to-steer monowheel rather than a railway... :laugh:
