panda Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Hi all, I happened upon this forum while looking for a complete list of all the Ultimate Collector lego sets all over the internet. However, I was never able to find one. I switch hobbies often and have now found interest in the wonderful land of legos. I haven't played with legos in over a decade, but i am interested in purchasing the kits with the most pieces and highest difficulty level. Also, I want to buy the kits that pay a lot of attention to small detail and would look nice as a display (hence my interest in the UCS). Could you guys help me out by directing me to a site that has a complete list of only the UCS kits or even list all those kits here for me? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance! J Quote

No problem! I think you'll find Lego's much more than just a children's toy. Some sites of interest are: Brickshelf - A site many people use to share and host their Lego pics and MOCs. MOCPages - Another site where people can display their MOCs. Bricklink - A site for all you Lego shopoing needs, whether by parts, minifigs or sets. Brothers Brick - I'm new to this site, but I can always find good MOCs featured on there, along with news. BrickArms - Custom made Lego compatible weapons for sale here, great quality and great looking! Well, that's it for now, I hope you enjoy some of these! ~Peace Quote

Freddie Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Hi Panda, and welcome to EB. Since you're looking for UCS sets, then I'm guessing this is right up your alley. It's expensive, yes, but all UCS sets are in general expensive (still, they are relatively cheap when compared to other hobbies). If you're looking for older UCS sets, and not just Star Wars (where the vast majority of UCS sets can be found), try out Bricklink (iamded posted a link) where you can shop for older sets - and the more sought after a set may be, expect to pay more for it - like Maersk Sealand, for example. There's a UCS batmobile but you might find the Cafe Corner/ Market street/ green-grocer sets more interesting in terms of detail. If you check-out the 'hard to find' and 'exclusive' sections at Lego shop at home you should find an Eiffel tower and a Boeing jet to name but two of the more detailed UCS like (and expensive) sets currently available. regards David Quote

Yes I did look into the ucs batman kit. in fact, that's the kit that got me interested in the UCS line of legos. I'm 23 years old, so i'm basically looking for a kit that has a ton of pieces and will take considerable skill to build. i was looking at the ferrari enzo kit, but the market value for it is just crazy. I believe it was Iamded who mentioned Bricklink, well it not only is good for shopping, but you can also brouse sets, parts, minifigures, and everything else LEGO! Now, you may be getting a little confused with some terms here here is a list: MOC: stands for my own creation, whatever someone makes from scratch. MOD: a modification to an already standing/together MOC or set. BL: the website, www.Bricklink.com BS: the website, www.Brickshelf.com AFOL: Adult Fan Of LEGO. TFOL: Teenage Fan Of LEGO. MF: minifigure, or the small LEGO people. TLC/TLG: the LEGO company/group. S@H: The LEGO website's shop. shop at home PaB, PAB: Pick a brick, if you go into LEGO stores, or onto the website, and just order certain bricks/ fill a bucket from bricks on a wall. hope i helped! if there is anything else, dont hesitate to ask anyone!
