Bodi Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 The mission of OL's pioneers is to open a breach in ennemy's defense, cleaning the obstacles for the assault troops, a dangerous job, reserved to the brave of the braves. That's why the pioneers were generally composed of veterans, or as we can see here, indigenous soldiers from a warrior-tribe. On the training ground, a sergeant-instructor is teaching them how to deal with a fortification. These indigenous soldiers are bloodthirsty warriors, they were reputed to rush the ennemy's line like a storm, but relentless charge wasn't always the answer to every problem. As they rushed altogether to the ditch, they were stopped by the fence and completely exposed. "Alrighty, regroup, let's try another tactic. Chef, you don't need to go that forward, stay behind and cover them at a distance. And you can forget about the axe, you won't have enough time, one of you should sacrifice himself to let the others approach the wall, is it understood?" Said the sergeant. "Ah, much better." Exclaimed a merrier instructor. Quote
Sir Kingston Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Nice build, but I can’t help but wonder why there are Corrish soldiers participating in this exercise. Is it typical of Oleon to give the natives outdated matchlocks? Quote

Is it typical of Oleon to give the natives outdated matchlocks? The men playing aggressors wear redcoats as a tradition. The advantage with obsolote weapons like axe and matchlock is we won't need to spend extra to time to let them to get familiarized with newer ones, in others words, they are readily available and can be sent to combat at anytime. blackdeathgr Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 (edited) Excellent stand for the weapon and great idea to use red as attackers. Something that has become a tradition in Oleon since after the "Juniper Wars" Go team OL, go!! Edited May 20, 2020 by blackdeathgr Quote
Legonaut Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Good to see the glorious Redcoats even from non corries! Also good to know that the bravest of the bravest from oleon are needed to face our amazing Fortifications. Recoats Rule!! Besides that the build is definetely a nice one, the light grey in the wall give it a realistic touch with different shades and I also do like the design of the matchlock! Quote
