Pablo is halfway between hunter and gatherer...

His thing, is... grasshopper. And they abound especially on Mermaid's Tears

And Pablo is very skillful with a butterfly net, he is able to catch the grasshopper wherever they may hide !

And, his bag is quickly fulfilled, with numerous plump insects

 

He usually spent all the morning harvesting the grasshopper. Then, he came back to a small shack near the west beach of Mermaid's Tears to meet some regulars.

And all the rest of the day, he proposes brochettes and fried grasshopper for the pleasure of the nearby sailors.

That insect looks very convincing, speaking of food, I actually ate grasshopper once, fried, nothing comparable with fries, although they share some similitude shape-wise.

Me too, it was awful !

However, I ate snakes or spiders ( brochettes ) and it was acceptable.
