Aye, so, thur we waer: the Cannen, 'is scribe, ole 'Chua isself, the wee lassie we took aboard in Fatu Hiva, an' yers true.

An' 'Chua'd took us tae a bay on 'Oleonda. Filled tae burstin' wie ole ruins. Cannen'd asket tae meet wie the most influentuel folk on the isle. An' by thunner, din't he just? A whole tribe: nought but wimmen.

Aye, and the bonniest, most generous-proportioned wimmen yeh ever did see. They'd straighten out the Highlands, I'll tell yeh that for nought.

Meeting the Amazons

So thurs me; tryin desperate to keep me eyes off their assets and on their very pointy weapons. An thurs yon lassie; all pint-sized terror tryin to get the drop on everyone. An thurs 'Chua, desperately hoping he ain't upset the wimmen, or the Cannen, or anyone else. An thurs the beg cheese, deciding we'er tae burn em all at the stake or start preachin the gospel o' Hades at 'em.

An ah says tae masself; 'MacSpud, what you gone got yerssel intae now?'

Nice little build! Great beach and good looking building (although I don't like the sloped roof that much for a building of that style). I am curious as to where did you get those awesome, awesome stone faces!!!

And to top it all, my mind had a meltdown from my genuine effort at understanding that (scotch?) dialect at the narrative...! :pir_wacko:

Lovely ruins! I like the way you integrated those large masks in the construction, and the realistic terrain variations!

The story seems to be nice too, but I had some serious troubles of understanding, probably also because I’m not a native English speaker

As I've said on Flickr: great MOC and excellent part usage! The masks in particular are very clever, but all figs are great builds themselves as well. Like the others I had some difficulty reading through the text, but I got 99% of it, I think. I love the wildlife as well, with the two seagulls (probably fighting as they tend to do) and the two birds sitting on the roof. It adds a level of realism to the build for me.

@blackdeathgr @Keymonus @Khorne Yeaaahhhh, that was my attempt at a Scottish dialect. Glad you got the gist, even if the whole thing was pretty impenetrable.

@blackdeathgr The mask is this one. I've had it knocking around for ages, and this seemed the perfect time to use it.

I really liked the sloping roof. I wanted a cross between a classical Greek temple and an Aztec building, and I really like the result. Bit gutted that doesn't come across more, but I'm still pretty proud of the build.

Good job with the story, took me a few to understand what was being said but you did a great job. Good use of the masks as carved faces. And I like how you created the beach. It looks like a simple yet detailed with the illusion of a curve and not straight a straight line.

I really like the stone heads! They give the model a somewhat Toltec? or Olmec feel! Although your attempted Scots dialect wasn't bad, you could have made it thicker and completely confuzzled readers.Seriously just kidding, but there are some dialects in Scotland that are almost impossible to understand!:pir-sweet: Great job!
