bLEGOnder Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I created a saloon some days ago with LDraw (see signature for help). Well, until I have got a brickshelf account or something else where I can host pictures I simply use attachments. Here is my saloon (the saloon label is missing). This saloon is a part of a little WW town I am creating at the moment. Therefore the pictures aren't very good because it's only a little test rendering. The quality of the pictures is really bad but I can only use 100K (you know this ). Quote
Vaders_son Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hey there! Your Saloon appears to be pretty cool to me. I also like how you made the interior, it's a little bit overloaded I feel. Not enough place for some serious fighting you know Best regards, Benny Quote

welcomestranger Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 But where is the oversized card table for the drunken cowboy to crash through after being accused of cheatin'?? :P Nicely done... now if only there was still a wild west theme... Quote
bLEGOnder Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 I also like how you made the interior, it's a little bit overloaded I feel. Not enough place for some serious fighting you know That's true. Thank you for your hint! I only wanted to place a piano in there (and I think there should be something like a kitchen, too ) and because of that I have a little "place problem". If there has to be more place I have to remove the two chairs with the little table on the left side. I'll see. Quote
Vaders_son Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 That's why there are revolvers! But there's nothing better than a good old fight with your hands and feet, throwing the bad megablocks through the room and nobody gets really hurt Quote
Asuka Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 A very fine work, plain charming from the outside with a neat and detailed interior as well! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Excellent rendering bLEGOnder. I'm sure a lot of work goes into creating these digitally. The size works well for the great details. I like the piano. Do you plan on making this into a real MOC? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) That's a digital MOC, bLEGOnder! I really like the nice front and the interior with so many nice details like e. g. the piano and the bar. The only thing I would have prefered would have been not to include a backwall - because then it would have the face of a very well designed Lego WW set ! BTW: Welcome to EB, bLEGOnder! Kliq Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 It's beautiful. Such a great creation using LDraw. I've been watching the Western channel nearly religiously now a days, so something like this strikes a chord. I love all the detail and hope to see it built sometime! Quote
bLEGOnder Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 Excellent rendering bLEGOnder. I'm sure a lot of work goes into creating these digitally. The rendering is made only fast to have a preview. It doesn't look very good because of the hard shadows. But it's good enough for a preview, I think. Rendering preparation needed 3 minutes. A real look (daylight everywhere,...) is harder to realize and needs more time . Do you plan on making this into a real MOC? The only thing I would have prefered would have been not to include a backwall I am ashamed but I won't build this saloon as a real LEGO model because I will only use it for a 3D brickfilm (that's the reason why I need the backwall). Moreover I don't have some of the necessary bricks. Quote
