Ross Fisher Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) *Your entry has earned 4 XP* Just my luck; The Triumvirate decides to conquer an absolute paradise of a world, and I get stuck in space, trying to figure out how to make it harder to get to the surface - urgh. Scarif was a dream when I got to spend some time there on recce. Now that I was back with the fleet, I wasn't so lucky. Top brass wanted to resurrect the Planetary shield, and it seemed like a smart plan. Only trouble was, the old shield was in pieces on the planetary surface, and getting it up and running again was going to involve several different wings that did not play well together. So yours truly got the job of project managing the whole shebang from the comfort of a Star Destroyer bridge. Great fun! Edited March 10, 2020 by goatman461 Quote
Darth Bjorn Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Nice little perspective scene... Besides all the other fedback I gave - the shield gate (I presume that is what we see through the windows), It does not seem so damaged? I recall seeing the thing being split in half in R1... Quote
Ross Fisher Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 @Darth Bjorn Yep, there will be a new photo in response to your previous comments. The object through the window is the restored gate, above the surface of the planet. It is actually raised by a clear brick at the back, but I appreciate it may look like it's sitting on top of the island there... Quote
Samppu Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Great use of the perspective technique here! Adding perhaps one slightly more recognizable object (micro TIE-fighter or Imperial landing platform or the command tower etc.) to anchor the relative size of the background could still add a little, but good work nevertheless! - Samppu Quote
Basiliscus Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 What a beautiful scene! Love the perspective. Quote

But I've already changed the picture once, and I really don't want to have to change it again! Quote
