Just wanted to discuss the new series on Kids WB. I've highly enjoyed it from day one and it keeps getting better and better. :sweet:

Favorite episode so far would have to be The Invisible Hand - which took a fairly boring villian (Rhino) and made a great story out of it. And Tombstone's first appearance was awesome, as was his second.

I've been reading a few reviews over the internet but I've yet to see it as it hasn't aired on british TV yet. Apparently it's meant to be better than the old nineties cartoon that people hailed as the greatest spiderman cartoon ever.

I'm hoping It'll be shown in this country sometime soon though.

I quite like it. I think it borrows more from Ultimate Spider-Man than from the other but keeps a certain lightness in tone from the old cartoon. I'm just not a big fan of the character design, though... But as they said, they made it all simple so they could pour most of the budget in the animation department, and boy does it deliver! The webslinging moves fantastically.

Oh, man do I love it! The quick and fluid animation, the surprisingly deep characters (but done in a fast pace), and amazing voice talent! There's nothing I don't like about the series! The show has the Romita era combined with the Ultimate one. What a great combination!

So yah, I watch it .

I think that considering what they said about the tight budget, they've done a really good job with it. The designs are fairly basic, yes, but they have a lot of character too. I think the only real odd thing is the eyes of the characters - which kinda are a bit unrealistic. Still, I like it. :classic:

The great thing about the Spectacular Spiderman is that it really packs a lot of stuff into 20 minutes each week. There's an enormous amount of character development and a lot of classic plot twists - plus it stays very true to the original comics. :sweet:
