Tbh I wouldn't mind if they revived that under City as the police wave for 2021. Having a plot twist for City that Vito from City Adventures is actually an alien from outer space? So much fun! You'd really be up for that, in the City theme??? That's actually really surprising coming from you. Personally, I'd want City to explore the past before they even go that far off the deep end, though I won't doubt that could potentially come to be knowing how City's been more recently... Quote

Well.....its not like Legos method for the City theme is leaving anytime soon. Might as well deal with it and have some fun. Quote
danth Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Wasn't SP3 basically Future City? It's basically low Earth orbit flying cars. Quote

Ok, I respectfully disagree with that. While I love all of those Space Themes, Mars Mission is probably my favorite. I personally think the color scheme looks really good and it fits the Mars setting very well. I personally don't mind the faceless aliens either, they are good for army building. Plus, let's not forget about the Alien Commander... He is an awesome minifigure in my opinion. While Mars Mission may not objectively be the best Modern Space theme, It's still my favorite. I already have the ETX Mothership and MX-81 Hypersonic Operations Aircraft, and I love them both. I can't wait to get more sets from the theme. Quote

I'm certain though it wasn't ever situated near Earth, as the closest thing Lego's ever had to an earthbound "Future City" theme was Ultra Agents. Quote

I kinda like to make fun of SP3 for being not true "Space". It does have a cityscape in the background on some of the boxes though. Actually looking at a few different boxes, it seems to take place on or around Earth's moon, with at least once moon city in bubble. Quote
