jirin Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Hello, this is my first serious attempt to make a real life thing. The real electric engine is a AC locomotive built between 1975 - 1981. These engines are obsolete and are retiring from their active service with regional trains. 242 class is a member of locomotives of the so called first generation from Škoda company, sharing the nearly unified body with other classes. Very similar engines were delivered for Bulgarian railways. I quite like the appearance, its not beautiful in any means, but it is interesting and very challenging to be built in lego. It is still in WIP and not finished. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Perhaps I would have done longer than three studs but beautiful MOC ... you nailed the original shape! Quote
HoMa Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Looks great, very close to the original. I love the use of the 1x5 Technic plate for the lights and the pantograph using just regular elements (attached in a maybe illegal way) rather then tubes and minifigure hands. Quote
Paperinik77pk Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 It's really cute - you got all the main details - so it seems very close to the original one.
