Pdaitabird Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 As the Octan Corporation has continued to diversify its gas extraction operations in the outer solar system, unscrupulous types have taken advantage of the lawless conditions beyond the asteroid belt. Claim jumpers and pirates have repeatedly hijacked the Corporation's gas transport vessels, transferring the contents into their own branded containers...and buyers back on earth generally don't ask too many questions. Octan's sturdy little SV-351 tugs, affectionately called "tank pushers" by their pilots, turned out to be an unexpectedly convenient solution to the piracy problem. In its original configuration, the SV-351's forward clamp arms latch onto the company's gas containers. It uses its two powerful ion engines to push the gas tanks around the Jupiter Helium Extraction Station. With the addition of a pair of 40mm repeating cannons, the tank pusher has become a nimble escort fighter to protect the company's assets. Now pirates and claim jumpers can't tell a fighter from an unladen tank pusher...until they're in range! Soli Deo Gloria Quote
