Inyongbricks Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) Finally, I've finished designing the LEGO 10255 alternative build with a European Jazz Cafe theme. The instructions of this MOC are available now at Rebrickable. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32576/InyongBricks/10255-assembly-square-alternative-build/#comments Edited December 14, 2019 by Inyongbricks Quote
Options Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Outstanding. Simply outstanding. Thanks! Quote
Wout Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Wow, this is very impressive. It looks stunning. I hope the building instructions are not to easy to steal by some notty copy firms. Quote

With that said, some in the past have made their designs available to the public with out any of the protections usually associated with ‘intellectual property’. However, the available protections often don’t stop the use of ideas by others. Protection is one thing, enforcement is another. Bottom line: if you’re simply a small designer, making your design products available to the general public usually means they’re subject to being hijacked by a commercial interest. Shouldn’t be that way, but it is. You probably don’t have the funds to sue the party who absconded with your design. Especially in a Chinese court. Edited December 15, 2019 by Options Quote
koalayummies Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 This is one of the most impressive alternate builds I've ever seen. It can be really challenging to work within the confines of set-supplied pieces to come up with something that's both different and cool and you have certainly done both. Really great work. Quote
Agent 86 Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Wow! It's completely unrecognisable as being "Assembly Square". What an awesome alternate build. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Well done. The architectural details on the facade are outstanding, especially when considering it's been built with a limited selection of bricks. My favourite detail is the 3-wheeled stroller. Quote
Merlict Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Excellent work! I do much prefer the right hand side (the coffee shop facade), the other one is overly fiddly for me. Quote
