DNL Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Legoworld was Last weekend, and I made a castle layout together with Brickoholiker. We only had two weekends to finish the walls of the big castle and make the landscape, so the details could have been better. we didn't have the time to built anything inside the castle, so it's a bit empty there. Brickoholiker made the walls of the big castle and the big tudor house (based on Marakoeschtra's bakery), I built the small castle and the landscape and we made the mountain together. I also got some great bricks for free at the end of the event, Pictures are here :D FLICKR Brickshelf gallery when public (Pictures taken by Brickoholiker) DNL Quote

Asuka Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 What a fine work you both did with that.... Your castle looks really good, neat in size and proportion with interesting details like the stairs to the entrance and the excellent towers. The landscaping´s simply great, from the shady trees around that beautiful stone arch bridge with it´s distinct waterfall to the sweet creek with that drinking horse and the lovely gardens with all the crop. The small timber frame houses fit in very nicely too. The only thing I didn´t get´re these scorpions with the MF hands attached to them.... The huge castle´s of course very impressive too, with a clear and clever shape and again, well fitting timber frame houses. The gate towers look nice too, but the gate in its marvelous technique´s a real eye catcher for sure. That big tudor house´s wonderful too, but somehow the color scheme doesn´t work that good for me in that case.... It´s interesting to see that the black dragon spues blue flames while the wizard use red ones. A cool work indeed. Quote

Asuka Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Those are supposed to be ducks. The minifig hands are the beaks. (I have no clue if I spelled that right ) Aah! Of course they´re.... thanks! Now I would wish for some white scorpions.... Himalaya scorpions that would be.... or cave ones.... Quote

BlueBard Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 W-O-W! It's a pity there's no city or town inside of the walls, but it remains the best Lego fortification I have ever seen! Quote
Wout Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Compliments, It is a great castle. The landscape is terriffic. I also like the mountain with waterfall. All that free bricks were a nice payment, Isn't it? did I already said how jealous I am? Quote
