Versteinert Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Probably some of you heard of the Lego Ideas "Vintage car" building contest. Originally, this moc was one of my entries, that I now managed to build in real bricks. For this model I was mainly inspired by the Chevy Advance, but as a participant of the contest I wasn't allowed to completely rebuild the truck. Since this was third person ID, it would have been against the rules. Hope you like it nevertheless ;) Chevy Advance inspired vintage truck by Versteinert, auf Flickr Chevy Advance inspired vintage truck by Versteinert, auf Flickr Quote
deraven Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 That's a lovely build. I'm not entirely sold on the teacup, but the revolver for the exhaust pipe and the ice skates for the grill I think are great! Is there actually a steering mechanism/swivel, or are the front tires just set in that way for the picture? Quote
peedeejay Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Cool build and very clever part usages, especially for the radiator grille. Quote
fordtruckin Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Love it! I would buy if Lego were to produce it in the future. As has been stated your parts usage is brilliant and I do like the teacup. Quote

Actually these aren't ice skates but axe blades and no, the steering is fake as usual ;) 11 hours ago, peedeejay said: Cool build and very clever part usages, especially for the radiator grille. TheLegoDr Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Brilliant. I love that grill and I thought they were ice skates too! But I can tell now since you mentioned the correct part. Very inspired. Quote

Wout Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 What a awesome car. The roughness of the back makes it even better. Quote
