Doctor Sinister Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Just messing with my Brickarms US Army soldiers. Click for larger pix. I know that Brickarms sell these guys as US Army soldiers, but they look just like men from The Thin Red Line...so here they are on the island of Guadalcanal. And finally, our heroes encounter a small obstacle to their advance... Dr. S. Quote

salty tbone Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Nope they were Marines which is quite different.Dr. S. Not to be a history geek (but since I am), the Marines were the first to land on Guadalcanal. The men in "The Thin Red Line" were U.S. Army soldiers sent in to relieve the Marines and finish the fight. Watch the scene with John Travolta on the troopship again. He spells it all out. I'm not trying to be a pest, just thought you'd want to know your MOC is spot on for what you intended. And yes, I know Marines are quite different. My father and brother are Marines. Quote
