SirNadroj Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Salutations! While taking an art class a few months ago, I was asked to design a character (chibi). So I came up with little Raccon-San and he eventually developed into a guerilla/coup fighter. Wanting him to have a baddie to fight, Fox-San was born. I knew the Fabuland heads fit nicely on minifigure bodies, so I played around with some combos, and I found these to be very close likenesses of the characters I had designed. The Fox head came off nicely (Thanks Brickchic! ), but the Raccoon one was much harder to pry. With the use of a tool, I got it off. I may or may not post a tutorial on how to get the heads off. It's actually pretty easy. (Weapons are brickarms) There's something rather creepy going on here. Looking foward to your feedback! Quote
Scouty Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 The racoon has no chance against the fox Nice job here! Quote
Faramir Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I really like these a lot. Satipo's body looks good on the raccoon, and the skin colors almost look to match! Great use of Indy stuffs Faramir Quote
Asuka Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Simply wonderful. Great torsos, and wonderful fitting heads. Now all you need more for a good story, IMHO, is an additional strong female character. Quote
PSPguy Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 They look...cute? Kinda brings back that raccoon statue you had in all your mosaic pictures. Good times good times. Quote
Shadows Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 WHOA. Just... whoa. If LEGO would make these, I would buy them. This could be the answer to bringing back Fabuland without launching a massive new line... superdeformed head minifigs! They really are cute. I have no idea whether to include them in the Fabuland index or not... I bet I will. Can you make them a Fabu-jeep? Quote
LuxorV Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 They really look great. Very well chosen, SirNadroy Thanks for sharing. LuxorV Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Wow the head/torso/leg combination is great on these minifigs and the guns fit the deranged scale perfectly! Quote
SlyOwl Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Hehe yokute kawai! As for the heads, some come off without the ball joint, some come off with it... Quote
SirNadroj Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 Thank you all for the positive feeback! Simply wonderful. Great torsos, and wonderful fitting heads. Now all you need more for a good story, IMHO, is an additional strong female character. Thank you! when I developed these two guys, I made a slew of others (one of which being a female raccoon [geisha]) so hopefully I'll be adding some more characters if these work out! They look...cute? Kinda brings back that raccoon statue you had in all your mosaic pictures. Good times good times. Funny you should say that....here are their counterparts: I LOVE Taxidermy! This could be the answer to bringing back Fabuland without launching a massive new line... superdeformed head minifigs! They really are cute. I have no idea whether to include them in the Fabuland index or not... I bet I will. Can you make them a Fabu-jeep? What would make them really super-deformed would be little/child/ewok legs! Since I've been getting positive feedback with these, I do plan on MOCing with them. Hehe yokute kawai! As for the heads, some come off without the ball joint, some come off with it... I learned that the hard way... Quote
Bobskink Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I don't know these guys, but it are really great customs. Quote
