SlyOwl Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 (edited) Hey all My contribution to Castle Month? I've updated Cheddar Gorge, still in CCC specifications! This is just to see how the Castle community receive this... But now it's cow milk! And modular! Milking: When rennet, an enzyme from a cow's stomach, is added to milk, cheese is made! Then it has to be tasted! And the thumbnail for the entry folder: Yes, imperialshadows, your resident murderer is back Edited May 13, 2008 by Hinckley Quote
concreteasflesh Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 (edited) haha, great update! the cow carcass is just great, the ribs are awesome. I really like the small details injected into the MOC. great job. and dont let that mouse get away with the cheeeeeese!!! Edited May 4, 2008 by concreteasflesh Quote
MoonCheese Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 No, don't eat me! I'm not really cheese! *runs away in terror* Cool brick-built animals, and also a nice use of the beard piece to represent milk falling into the bucket. Quote
WhiteFang Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 (edited) SlyOwl, awesome looking! I really love the small details that you taken care of. The milkmaid milking the cow using the plume is a great idea. Inside the house, the cow looks so realistic. The man whom pour the milk into the bucket is clever by using the beard. This looks real great Edited May 4, 2008 by WhiteFang Quote
BlueBard Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Splendid work, as usually! Poor cow... By the way, why there are two skeletons on that wall? Quote
Asuka Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 That´s a very creative and simply hilarious work! From the fine landscaping to the well detailed house, simply brilliant! Both cows´re cleverly done, especially that milking part. And I always wondered how they put the smell into the cheese, thank you very much for answering this question as well.... Quote
Holodoc Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 This is absolutely brilliant! There are so many nifty details you put in here (just to name one: the beard representing flowing milk ), I´m amazed and shocked in awe! One of the MOCs with the most SNOT in it! Praise ON! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Great work as always , but i have 2 questions What is a cheesemaphone? It sounds like a megaphone made from cheese... What do the light blue plates in the floor represent? Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Hehe, nice work, the cows look great. Like all of your MOCs, I love all of the details, such as the mouse hole and mouse trap and the brilliant little mushrooms The roof is fantastic, very realistic. Finally, the Skellies trying to drop a dirty sock into the milk is hilarious Great work, SlyOwl Quote
I Scream Clone Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Some where in the Lego house of SlyOwl there are a lot of handless minifigs (looks closely at roof) The duck, mousetrap, sock, flowing milk, sitting milk lady, cow ribs, roof, wall detailing are all really cool! Thanks for sharing such a cool creation! Quote
iamded Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 This is awesome, SlyOwl! I always enjoy seeing your creations. I love how you've built the walls, they're quite different, and give it a cool, messy look. The duck is a nice touch too. The cow's cute, and the carcass is built cleverly, nice and gruesome! I like hoe you've partially attached the bricks for the legs too. But is that man stealing the cow's intestines? By the way, why there are two skeletons on that wall? Can't you see the sock they're holding? Clearly they're up to their usual mischief and are trying to spoil the cheese! Another great touch. What is a cheesemaphone? It sounds like a megaphone made from cheese... What do the light blue plates in the floor represent? I pictures a cheese megaphone too. And you bring up a good point on the blue tiles... ~Peace Quote
Dragonator Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Nice work SlyOwl! You have included all sorts of great details, I enjoyed looking over this. I didn't even notice the mousetrap until I looked again now, so I thought I'd comment. I love your use of pieces for intentions other than what they're designed for; minifig hands to texture the roof, the beard for flowing milk, it all adds to the feeling. I particularly like your brick built animals, the cows look great, especially the dead one that ha been ripped open ( ), and the duck is cute! You know, the roof looks like it is made of cheese... Quote
SlyOwl Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 (edited) Thanks! And I always wondered how they put the smell into the cheese, thank you very much for answering this question as well.... You don't want to know how the French do it! What is a cheesemaphone? It sounds like a megaphone made from cheese... What do the light blue plates in the floor represent? Cheesemaphone: See the Pirate set review schedule Light blue plates: Firstly, I'm colour-blind, so get them mixed up with teal, but also as a little more texturing/colouring to break up the floor know, the roof looks like it is made of cheese... I got this last time too Edited May 5, 2008 by SlyOwl Quote
Fluyt Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Very nice moc you got there I really like the use of tiles to create texture in the wall (don't think I've seen this before (at least not tiles used to texture in a non-snot way) Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Cheesemaphone: See the Pirate set review schedule Doh! I see you are growing some mushrooms in there as well, are they for ''special'' cheese? Quote
Joey Lock Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 You Evil man! I guess I should have taken the Warning but I thought it was a Joke... Quote
SlyOwl Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 I see you are growing some mushrooms in there as well, are they for ''special'' cheese? You eat mushroom cheese in Holland? You Evil man!I guess I should have taken the Warning but I thought it was a Joke... You're not a vegetable are you? Quote
