And they were about half the price of LEGO's one. Though that in itself is a statement, isn't it? If a hobbyist/ semi-professional with limited equipment can sell them for that price it goes to show how LEGO are stretching people's goodwill with a mass-produced, CNC-milled version. The legal points are not worth debating. Depending on where you live, those hand-crafted figures could still be perfectly legal and thus an unwarranted C&D might be nil and void at best or an abuse of the law at worst... Mylenium Quote
Lucarex Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Currently being listed you-know-where for between £140 to an arm-chancing £220 (twice retail price). Guess those attendance slots were really all taken by AFOLs who for some reason just decided not to keep said “collectible” Quote

Seasider Posted November 4, 2019 Author Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) I have to say "I don't get it" ... firstly the model has its arms in a fixed position and when I look at the minifigs I have on my desk at work I pretty much exclusively have their hands down by their sides and not in front of them ... so the wooden model doesn't have the hands where i'd put them. But the biggest thing I don't get is why you'd spend £110 on this and then decorate it ! why would i stick stuff to it or paint it ? I just don't get it Not a purchase for me ... and that's from someone who bought Lego Forma and also likes wooden scupltures around the house Edited November 4, 2019 by Seasider Quote
Robert8 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Same I dont see the appeal of this And for 120? No way Quote
Chilis Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 LEGO Originals wooden minifig and the bundle-deals are all temporary out of stock in the norwegian store so I guess they sell well..? Quote
