Pate-keetongu Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Hello! I will go to Legoland Billund in summer, and I'm asking for pick-a-brick prices. how much they cost and how big are boxes/pouches/whatevers where bricks puts? I need answer.
Captain Green Hair Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I will answer this question in 4 weeks, with pics and all!
daoudbazaar Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Depends on what you are looking for ... I went there last summer. It was DKR 399 (~ EUR 55) for a strata box filled with less than 4 kg of parts taken from loose bags, and it was approx. four times more expensive in the pick a brick area. Compared with Legolang Guenzburg (EUR 8 per 100 gr) , it's still a bargain. You should ask a native !
Lasse D Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I was just out there: 100g.: 60kr. This is the price when your purchase is less than 500g. After that it's 180kr. for each 100g. in order to discourage the kind of behavior we saw at the opening. There is a small discount if have your purchase in a small bag. I can have 200g. of GBC balls in such a bag. A little hint: Rip off the top of the small bag. It makes it easier to fill and might save you enough weight to have an extra brick. The rest of the bricks were given away the last day last year. People filled big garbage bags of bricks - I was just out there the day before
Squeaker Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Big pool of PAB? Are there any pics of this? I love PAB but only get to go maybe once or twice a year (spoiled, spoiled me ) Garbage bags full of LEGO? *twitch**twitch*
snefroe Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 ok... this does sound bad! no more huge box with parts? that sucks! 100g.: 60kr.This is the price when your purchase is less than 500g. After that it's 180kr. for each 100g. in order to discourage the kind of behavior we saw at the opening. wtf? they're discouraging people buying more? what kind of company is this? usually, you pay LESS when you buy more... my guess is they either have a major problem in supplies or they want to discourage bricklink this way... still, this sucks BIG time! guess we'll have to buy stuff in smaller bits then!
Holodoc Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 ok... this does sound bad! no more huge box with parts? that sucks! There is still hope! I found it on 1000.steine.de A member has been to Billund last thursday til last saturday. On thursday there was nothing. No BigBox, just "normal" sets like the town crane and some mars mission sets were on sale (still even more expensive than in Germany ). On friday at 15:00 the BigBox was back again! Containing 2 freight trains , hospital, firefighters, harbour, castle sets and StarWars sets (inculding MTT!). ... and Duplo... Price point: 150 DKK for a blue bucket (-10% with annual pass). Needless to say that the boxes were emptied very fast, but at 16:30 they were filled again. For that reason the member wasn´t able to take pictures, only when the fight was over: On saturday the boxes were filled again, but this time the bricks were disappointing for him, so he passed to buy. If they continue to fill the BB on friday and saturday - that would be right on time for us! BigBox still ON!
CopMike Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Thanks Holodoc for that update ! There´s hope for us then!!! We do need to hook up a special thingy with that for us though - I´ll get on it a soon as my toes are inside the gates of LEGOLAND ! Big box On copmike
Tanotrooper Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 ah, the big box... Had a lot of 8*16 baseplates and ninja headgear and boats from that... It's been 4 years I believe... One thing: PaB prices are outraging, perhaps because people can steal lego very quickly there... TT
