Shadows Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Kept it simple this time. Inspired by both SirNadroj's wonderful Pig's Tractor and Hinckley's fantastic Gordon Gorilla's Truck, I thought it was about time for Fabuland to has some overalls. Wouldn't either of those characters look great riding around in one of these? The necks are intentionally left white so that you can fill the torso colour of choice, or simply cut that part out. I don't think that the striped ones are appropriate for water-slide because of the white that needs to stay as such, otherwise it would have been perfect. It isn't related, but I also had a simple suit jacket with tie that would be perfect for daily use, as opposed to something fancy. So there you have it, a few new ways to customize your Fabuland figures a bit. Comments, etc... thanks! Quote
LegoLyons Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Good work. They look great, now if only I can persuade my wife to let me stick stickers on her prized Fabuland figures!!!!! Quote
Hinckley Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 If you'd like some reference from the official line, here you go: I like the different colors you are using. The gray suit may not work on a fabuland fig since there are no gray fabuland torsos, but there are matching pants. They look great, though and I love the colors you used for the torso. I'm so glad LuxorV opened this can of worms. I will start making some soon. Custom Fabuland Torsos On!! Quote
Shadows Posted May 7, 2008 Author Posted May 7, 2008 If you'd like some reference from the official line, here you go: Very cool! For some reason, I always think of plain torsos with Fabuland, as if they didn't make many printed ones. I think it's because I usually see the plain one for sale. I didn't even consider the possibility that similar things had been done officially. Oh, and I'll just say it now. Monkey in a hat! Awwwww I like the different colors you are using. The gray suit may not work on a fabuland fig since there are no gray fabuland torsos, but there are matching pants. They look great, though and I love the colors you used for the torso. Another thing I didn't consider. Fortunately, all of my colours are easily changed, so the suit could be adjusted. Matter of fact, I think I'll make a couple of other colours and drop them in here. Colour has been one of my big issues anyway, because of cases where I want to leave an exposed neck, but realise that there are so many different coloured characters to accomodate. Before I make any more, I think I need to review the official line, huh? Quote

Shadows Posted May 7, 2008 Author Posted May 7, 2008 New colours! I considered (or am considering) putting the train logo on the yellow one, if there is any call for Fabuland train employees. Maybe a version of these with a pocket. I don't know. You've been Europified... I hate to tell you, but dig up my earliest posts... I've always been Europified. Quote
