MR IOUS Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) Playing around with an old look and new parts / colours. Actually one of my first steps out of the "dark ages" without lego. There are a lot more. Have a look at my Flickr. 4wide-cars-007 by MR. IOUS, auf Flickr 4wide-cars-013 by MR. IOUS, auf Flickr 4wide-cars-018 by MR. IOUS, auf Flickr 4wide-cars-025 by MR. Robert8 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 These have quite a vintage look My favorites are the police car and the last one Thanks for sharing :) Quote
deraven Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 I like #25 a lot. That 2 to 3 to 4 stud stepping works really well! Quote
Littleworlds Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Looking good! The nice and subtle detailing gives each really character of its own. Quote
Man with a hat Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Nice ones and very creative combining the classic with the new. Quote
Driver Brandon Grumman Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 4 stud cars will always be better than 6 stud wide. On trucks, 6 stud wide is good. Quote
bamsham363 Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 They really work well on this scale, a nice series indeed, reminds me that I found a very old vintage TLG taxi in my boxfrom late 70's early 80's in this scale, was surprised I still had it Quote

When I got the 60141 Police Station back in 2017, I didn't even use the six stud wide car that came with it - preferring the monster truck from 60140. That's how much I dislike six stud wide cars for City. It works well for the trucks and buses, but not the cars. Edited October 23, 2019 by pooda Quote

I went 5 wide and low without fitting any figs just like the good old 70ies TLG era, but increased a bit the detail all around. They actually had it very right back then scalewise, just not very playable for kids - but as an AFOL, who cares... your 4 wides are really refreshing, glad to see the "non fig inside" faction isnt totally extinct ;) Great nostalgic feeling, looking forward to more from you! Thank You! I hope some of those pieces in the tuning shop that's supposed to come in 2020 go towards more 4 stud wide automobiles. I'll take as many cars as possible. Quote
