zachmoe Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Well, I guess since I've been a member here and lurking for quite a while, I should probably start posting my MOCs here as well. This is my most recent build, a fighter. I could type out a long back-story, but I suppose for now I'll just post my creation. The Geminated Ruby (the picture is the flickr link): Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Quote
Hinckley Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 What the hell, dude? Your MOCs are transcendent. I go slack-jawed and gasp when I see them. You're just so damn good. Brilliant use of the UCS X-wing canopy. First time I think I've seen it used in a MOC. Great use of the swords...so smart! And really a great color scheme and just a brilliant build. You can tell you love to do this and have fun at it. I'm really glad you're here! What country are you in? Will you be at BrickWorld in Chicago this Summer? Quote

I'm in the US, currently residing in Northern CA. I'm considering Brickworld...trying to see if I can swing it. For sure I'll be at NorthWest BrickCon (maybe just known as BrickCon now) in Seattle. LuxorV Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Welcome to EB, zachmoe. You MOC is amazing . I your style, and I'll have to study it carfully to grasp all the details and techniques you used. Btw, this ship's name takes me back 4 years, when I studied mineralogy at University . LuxorV Quote
Hewman Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 it looks like an exo-force set on 'roids, great work!! Quote
Tacitus Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Wow. I'm trying to wrap my mind around how you built it... Quote

Shadows Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 That is just amazing beyond words. It's as if no two pieces sit next to each other, they're all at interesting and different angles, yet go together to form a cohesive and very solid looking structure that simply stops being LEGO and becomes art. Or science. Science art. Seriously... amazing. Please be sure to post here more often, especially when you're creating masterpieces like this! Quote
Asuka Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 A simply stunning and beautiful work, ingeniously and brilliant. And although it´s pretty hard to say what I like the best I guess it´s just the marvelous way you created that hollow star on the side engines. Quote
Plural Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I love it. The best thing I've seen all week. So many cool details that I can't even list them and an awesome colour scheme to boot. Fantastic job. Quote
SuvieD Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Nearly studless, I think I will cry The swords don't fit for me, they look out of place and a different color than the rest. Very cool shape though. MOC on! Quote
