Has anybody hacked a Lego Powered Up Color & Distance Sensor and used it with an Arduino? I have a few of them I would like to use on a Lego Automation for distance and later I would like to use the color function.

I've seen PU used to control a train; color sensor in the train reading coloured tiles between the rails for commands like half speed, stop, reverse. Don't think there was any Arduino involved though.

I haven't seen the pinouts for the color sensor published anywhere.  I made a LEGO BOOST train engine using the color sensor.  It wasn't all that accurate at an event, although, it worked perfectly in my basement.  It might be easier to use a color sensor that already works with the Arduino.

I have also seen great projects done as well with the Lego development environment.
