Klaus-Dieter Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) Hello everybody! I thought it would be a nice idea to know all Wild West fans here on EB. I decided to open a topic where you can write down your EB name in order to identify yourself as an WW fan. It makes no difference whether you are only WW MOCer or whether you are only WW sets collector or whether you are ... You can write down a short description of what you do in the WW theme or whether you would like to have a comeback of WW or ..., too. So: When you are interested in Lego WW please sign here! My name is Klaus-Dieter. I am a real Wild West fan. Apart from collecting (and sometimes playing with, too) the amazing WW sets from 1996-97 I seldom do some WW MOCs, too, since I am EB member. I would be very, very happy if we WW fans get some new nice WW sets (especially a train with station, a saloon and a post office with stage coach)! EDIT: I edited this great graphic which was designed by TheBrickster. Thank you very much, TheBrickster! Edited May 5, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
General Zen Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I am a wild west fan. The type of wild west fan I am is helpless admirer, which is a loser who has absolutely nothing wild west in his collection who wants them really badly! However, despite the obvious awesomeness of the old theme, I do not think kids today play "cowboys and indians" anymore, unfortunately. I would like a new wild west theme, but I worry if it would sell well. Leaving the negative feelings aside, I like the train station idea. Maybe a gold rush mine or a covered wagon train would be cool too. I think it would be very cool if you got a small village with gunmen on the roofs and have a huge shhot-out like in the movies! WesternOutlaw Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Hello fellow Wild West (WW) fans. I've been a member of EB since 2005. The WW theme brought me out of my long Dark Age Lego collecting era. It was so fun to comb the city looking for all the WW sets a year or two after they retired. I was able to obtain all of them including the Indian sets. My favorite of the collection is probably Gold City Junction followed closely by Bandit's Hideout (the mine set). Some of you on EB recognize my WW avatar, the Phantom Rider, a ghostly cowboy that I introduced as part of my WW Ghost Town Collection, called Grave Stone. I have an interest in WW Ghost Towns as well as history of the WW. My first MOC shared on EB was this stagecoach: I also collect Playmobil Western sets, which are very hard to find; some of the older ones fetching high prices on Ebay. I'm also a big fan of Adventurers, Trains, Castles, and the new Indy sets. I look forward to learning more about the WW fans on the board. Great topic KD! Quote
Flatfoot Thompsen Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 HUGE WW fan here. For almost 5 months I've been trying to get all WW sets on EBay. Right now I have 2 out of 6 (not including indians). I really hope LEGO comes out with a new WW theme. And that's about it. 100th post! I'm now a Citizen! YAY!!! Quote
Vaders_son Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Hey I'm not exactly a WW fan but I have some sets including Fort Legoredo, this Town Set with the Bank and some smaller sets. If anyone's interested I might sell them (just got to build them first to see if all the parts are here, but I think so) I have two Playmobil western forts too and 3 (or so) southern soldiers, also lots of Playmobil Indians? If you're interested write here or pm me. Best regards, Benny Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I was a huge fan of WW, particularly the Cavalry sets. Those figs were my first taste of color-coordinated army building, and that's set a trend for my building ever since. badger Quote
Athos Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I thought it would be a nice idea to know all Wild West fans here on Ebay. You mean eurobricks, don't you? I am a wild west fan and would like to see it come back. I think I've made my preferences for a new line evident in other posts, as seen here, here, here and here. And here are some of my wild west creations: The Brick Tower Brick Tower Vignettes General WW vignettes My abandoned WW town project Steve Quote

theestampede Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Definate fan here, I love western stuff, for instance my favorite movie is the good the bad and the ugly. I had a couple of the old sets, but don't really know which ones they were anymore, but I do have a crap load of custom minifigs and a few mocs I haven't posted or anything. I really want them to make a new line of it sometime Quote
