ks6349 Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Here in my country of auction site I can see many people selling empty Lego box of good condition. In order to minimize the cost of playing Lego, I'd like to know how should I open and protect my lego box in the best condition I can? Quote
MAB Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Can you really not come up with an answer for this yourself? It is really going to depend on your situation. You can buy large plastic sealable crates to store them in, store them in a warehouse, store them in a cupboard, an attic, a garage, under your bed, and so on. Only you know how much space you have and whether that space is damp or dry, hot or cold, dark or bright, and the answer depends on many conditions. Are you doing this for profit on 100s of boxes or just for a few? Quote

If you want to store your boxes - I gave up on that . They take up a lot of space and don't really have any sentimental value to me. I build the sets and if I am happy with them, I keep them assembled and store some of them in large plastic tubs, never in their boxes. But if you have the space, store them in a dark and dry place. A wardrobe, for example. As for the opening, I would go for sliding a thin blade into the gaps on the sides to make a clean cut instead of breaking the cardboard with the conventional method. Large sets, that are taped are, of course, quite simple to open anyway. Quote

I also do not like seeing your unfriendly and sometimes arrogant replies for long. 1 hour ago, Littleworlds said: If you want to store your boxes - I gave up on that . No, since I don't really mind the boxes, I usually open them as quickly as possible . But its worth a try, I guess. Experiment! The ABS plastic inside is pretty heat resistant (within reason). Quote

The answer really depends on your circumstances and only you know these. If you have little space, flatten the boxes and keep them under your bed. If you have a warehouse or large storage facility, store them there. Or something in between depending on your personal circumstances. Quote
ks6349 Posted July 22, 2019 Author Posted July 22, 2019 How do you protect the corners and edges of Lego box if you intend not to unbox it for years? Quote
